Houston-based Optimum Security Professionals devising ways to enhance branding in 2018, beyond

DALLAS — In many cases, at the turn of a new calendar or fiscal year comes a number of changes for most businesses, especially those in its respective infancy stages.

Such is the case for Optimum Security Professionals, a Houston-based business that, to its credit, is steadily making favorable strides since its much-anticipated inception in May 2015.

Now with 2018 effectively underway and OSP approaching three full years of having opened for operations, greater trends are on the horizon, mostly the company’s plans of expanding as it pertains to branding.

“We recognize that in order to standout we must make research and develop a top priority,” Optimum Security Professionals President Marshall D. Isom told Making Headline News this week. “So our executive staff travels across the country, attending conferences and seminars to stay abreast of the latest security technologies and strategies.”

Interestingly and much to OSP’s delight, the company deemed it essential some time ago to use an internationally-acclaimed Fortune 500 company as a model, of sorts, particularly as it relates to enhancing its brand by way of fortifying solid customer service.

“We’ve borrowed a page from Chick-fil-A’s hiring process by focusing on recruiting individuals who are outgoing, friendly, and goal oriented team players,” Isom explained.

Also, OSP has gone to great lengths to building a solid working rapport with what company officials described as a “nationally recognized security officer training program” to ensure that its officers’ competency levels exceed those of its competitors.

Talk about having a continuous massive and strategically effective impact when it comes to branding.

“Having the best uniforms in the industry remains at the top of our priority list,” said Isom, whose company — because of its solid overall body of work — has garnered an assortment of rave reviews via Google and various social media message boards.

MAKING MAJOR STRIDES — OSP became the beneficiary of both MBE and HUB Certifications in 2017 and, according to President Marshall D. Isom, the company is presently applying for DBE Certification this year. “We are working on a marketing campaign that includes TV and radio commercials, print media ads, and a number of sponsorships, as well plans for an annual scholarship award,” Isom said.

“This year has also presented us with the opportunity to buy a security academy, which will allow us to recruit and certify armed, unarmed officers, and bodyguards through establishing relationships with local universities, community colleges and even high schools,” Isom said.

Also, OSP was a finalist for the Greater Houston Black Chamber 2017 Pinnacle Award, and the company is applying for membership in the Texas Building Owners and Managers Association, Greater Houston Partnership and The National Federation of Independent Business, not to mention partnering with a number of local chamber associations.

“I would also like to meet Robert F. Smith, Chairman of Vista Equity Partners,” Isom said.

STEP ABOVE THE REST — “We are working on a marketing campaign that includes TV and radio commercials, print media ads, and a number of sponsorships, as well plans for an annual scholarship award,” Isom said.

As for amongst some key goals and objectives OSP aspires to execute in 2018 and beyond, Isom said the company is appropriately devising ways to capture what he labels “a greater share” of the Houston Metropolitan market by participating in city, county and state bids, he said.

Moreover, plans are currently in the works to expand to the San Antonio, Corpus Christi, and the Midland markets beginning in the first quarter of 2019, Isom emphasized.

As always, devising ways to expand is extremely key, Isom hinted.

“We hope to breakthrough in the commercial real estate and banking markets this year,” he said. “There are several locally-owned and operated properties that target small and local companies such as ours to serve as vendors. It is our goal to identify those businesses and become first mind to their key decision makers.”It’s a personal goal of company President Marshall to lunch with Rockets owner Tilman Fertitta, Gallery Furniture owner Mattress Mack and Robert F. Smith, Chairman of Vista Equity Partners this year.”
