Michigan author Brandi Sholar’s two new books recall how God has miraculously given her beauty for ashes

I consider that our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us. (Romans 8:18 NIV)

SEASON OF THE REBIRTH

GOD KEPT HER — To grasp a thorough concept of why Sholar deems it essential to often take inventory of her life, look no further than how Michigan author Brandi Sholar has diligently persevered through arguably the darkest seasons of her young life, as she writes in two life-altering books: The Darkness From Within and The Steps I Took To Get Where I’m At Today.

Brandi Sholar was only keeping it real when she hastened to her social media page with a thought-provoking post Wednesday afternoon.

Said Sholar on her timeline before a gallery of Facebook followers: “A person will never understand my story unless you walked it with me.”
She’s got that right. Most importantly, Sholar has earned every right to make such a dauntless suggestion, given the rash of hardships and turmoil through which she’s had to navigate in recent years.
In fact, to grasp a thorough concept of why Sholar deems it essential to often take inventory of her life, look no further than how she has diligently persevered through arguably her life’s darkest seasons, as she writes in two life-altering books: The Darkness From Within and The Steps I Took To Get Where I’m At Today.

“I had been through a lot in my life, and God said one day, ‘Write about it,’” Sholar, during an interview this week with Making Headline News, said, recalling the memorable developments that had ultimately given way to her having made her authorship debut. “It’s very heartfelt and inspiring, and I just want people to know that no matter what, we go through in life and it’s always a brighter day coming if you follow and listen to what God is trying to tell you. You will see the light of day.”

“This book is very heartfelt and inspirational,” said an Amazon spokesperson for Sholar’s The Darkness From Within.

A book that has drawn an array of rave reviews, Sholar acknowledged her initial published document is a true testament of the bend-but-don’t-break faith she customarily had to exemplify.

“Many days, I wondered why I kept going down these roads and ending at the same place, doing the same thing, repeating the same situations,” Sholar explained. “I have encountered physical, verbally and mental abuse…homelessness with my children, then I took all of what I been through and, after all of these things, I’m now a successful business owner. It was my calling to write my story so that it can help and encourage somebody.”

And, then there’s The Steps I Took To Get Where I’m At Today, Sholar’s sophomore book that debut approximately two months after her premiere project.

ROUND TWO — Sholar’s sophomore book debut approximately two months after her premiere project.

Having cleared arguably the grandest hurdles of her young life, Sholar’s The Steps I Took To Get Where I’m At Today is a 63-page written work that reveals the pertinent steps essential to becoming a successful entrepreneur, all the while possessing and savoring the very thing that Christ came to give us: the abundant life.

“It breaks down what I had to get through to be where I’m at today,” Sholar said of her second book. “It breaks it all down, step-by-step of how it got me to be an entrepreneur and an owner of multiple businesses.”

Interestingly, Sholar began writing her first book when she was homeless sometime in 2019, she recalls.

“I hit rock bottom with my children,” Sholar said. “But God carried me through the way He got us through (everything else). One day, I said, ‘God, I’m listening. I hear you. You have my full attention.”

It was at that point, Sholar explained, that God began to move on her behalf and work things out in her favor.

“God started ordering my footsteps,” Sholar said. “God started blessing my bank accounts with an overflow of money, an over flow of business. He started multiplying (my resources). Each time I had to spent (money) He would triple it. My business started blooming, and I started investing in more businesses. Whatever God told me to do, I did it without hesitation.”

Even in the wake of arguably the biggest scare of her life, God had ultimately provided a massive way of escape.

In August 2018, Sholar’s then-12-year-old daughter, Miyah Landers, was rushed to a hospital after sustaining severe burns to several limbs of her body, including to her entire back.

“Don’t do it because it’s not worth it,” Landers told WPSD Local, a Southfield, Michigan NBC affiliate. “It’s just not worth it.”

Sholar said her daughter had sustained severe burns from “her knees to her hair,” and was left fighting for her life.

IT IS WELL — All things considered, God not only restored Landers’ healing, but He miraculously restored unto Sholar the peace that surpasses understanding.

“She was on life support,” Sholar said of her daughter’s horrifying encounter. “She had 21 surgeries, 18 blood transfusions and, and two plasmas.”

“I’m also a life coach and a mentor,” Sholar said with a smile.

Given the assortment of life-altering trials and tribulations about which she’s had to endure, now we know why she’s been strategically set aside for God’s use to help enrich and enhance the lives of others.
