DR. CUPPY RUNNETH OVER

DALLAS — Dr. Tina Shirelle Moore vividly recalls how her fervent rise to entrepreneurship has come full circle.

“Well in May 2013, I graduated from Jackson State University with a PhD in Environmental Science,” Dr. Moore explained in her business-related bio at https://cakesandcuppycakes.com/. So yes, people were addressing me as Dr. Moore. A year later in 2014, I started my business.”
The business endeavor to which Dr. Moore is alluding is Cakes and Cuppycakes, her all things Mid-South baking venture that, much to her delight, has been as good as advertised since its ceremonious inception.
Suitably known as “DrCuppy,” Cakes and Cuppycakes has become a fixture for providing customers what Dr. Moore describes as “an amazing experience from the time they have placed an order to the very moment that they sit down and enjoy the product,” according to her venture’s mission statement.
In essence, Dr. Moore, 43, emphasized, “Customer service and customer satisfaction is the ultimate goal.”

CAKE WALK — Mid-South entrepreneur Dr. Tina Shirelle Moore’s Cakes and Cuppycakes is an all things baking venture that, much to her delight, has been as good as advertised since its ceremonious inception in 2014.

“One customer traveled from Biloxi, Mississippi to Southaven (to put up an order),” referring to a customer’s one-way, intrastate commute that covered five hours, 28 minutes. “They were celebrating their birthday in the city and wanted to support a black-owned cake business. In this aspect, Cakes and Cuppycakes was chosen.”

Fortunately for Dr. Moore, her business has made immeasurable strides in recent years, in large part because it customarily accommodates customers for any occasion.

A native of Chicago who relocated to the Mid-South — Greenwood, Mississippi, to put it more precisely — a little more than three decades ago, Dr. Moore’s baking brilliance dates back to her childhood days during which she had become passionate about her craft at the tender age of nine.

“I would encourage that the gift that is placed in you, maximize it to the fullest,” continued Dr. Moore, explaining why it is imperative to esteem others daily, according to Philippians 2:3. “Do not sit on that vision that God has placed in you. Obstacles may come, some days may seem longer than others, sometimes you may have more month than money. He showed you that vision for a reason. Say what He is saying and watch what He has shown you manifest. This year is indeed different. God place in you that creativity. So be confident and courageous in your endeavors. This is your winning season. Now go and win.”

Just as she done.
