KNOWLEDGE IS POWER

Brandi Sholar has added yet another credible entity to her already brilliant and immeasurable entrepreneurship repertoire.
The longtime Detroit-area businesswoman has announced that she has started what is known as an entrepreneurship school, where she will teach financial literacy courses.
During a recent interview with Making Headline News, Sholar, 39, emphasized, among other things, that her newly-erected school that will host the Brandi Sholar Wealth Academy Master Class is designed to education people of all ages, most notably teenagers, whom she said should shift their focus on the importance of quality money management.
“(My school will be) showing them ways to generate money,” Sholar told MHN. “(We’re committed) to teaching financial literacy as a way to help people generate extra income, learn different trades that will be beneficial to their lives, and help them build generational wealth for their families in today’s world.”

As Sholar acknowledged, many youths aren’t fully equipped about all things financial literacy, a trend she senses often lead to a rash of unfavorable financial decisions in the long run.
“It’s a lot of people in the world that lack the knowledge of financial literacy and the things that can help them get to the next level of greatness,” said Sholar, explaining the startup of the Brandi Sholar Wealth Academy Master Class.
The owner and CEO of Uptown Tax Pros, her income business venture that is located at 3002 Carpenter Avenue in Hamtramck, Michigan, Sholar’s financial literacy school is especially targeting youths starting as early as 14 years of age.
Interestingly enough, Sholar said her inspiration for establishing a financial literacy institution arose from the backing of her children, whom she customarily counsels about wise money-making decisions.

“I was once that person that lacked knowledge of financial literacy because it wasn’t taught to me,” Sholar said. “Had I known what I know now, my life would have been totally different.”
Sholar’s rise to financial prosperity comes amid humble beginnings.
“I have been homeless with my children,” Sholar recalls. “I have been mentally and verbally and physically abused, so all of my struggles the life lessons, I learned from them.”
Fortunately for Sholar, she was determined to recover from what she senses was a dreaded season of her life, one that greatly inspired her to change her life around, particularly her perspective regarding proper money management.
“One day, I woke up with a different mindset and just wanted better,” Sholar said. “So I started educating myself of the things that would get me to the next level, and I started hanging around with people that had the same mindset as me and just wanted more.”
Much to her delight, Sholar would ultimately inherit the favorable results she diligently sought.
Now, she said, the time has come to pass along the knowledge she’s acquired to today’s youths.

To Sholar’s credit, she would know, as evidenced by the favorable strides she’s made an accomplished entrepreneur.
