Making Headline News Publisher Andre T. Johnson is one of three nominees who has advanced to the pivotal Second Round for “Publicist Of The Year” in the Second Annual Rated Boujie Awards that will take place in Houston, Texas March 27.
Boujie Awards Founder and Houston businesswoman Tiffeny Young confirmed the news in a formal announcement last week.
The Boujie Awards’ next round of voting begins April 22 and runs through May 6. If Johnson emerges as one of two finalists amongst the three remaining nominees, he will advance to Houston for a chance to come away the ceremony’s most covenant award.

A former Memphis Commercial Appeal newspaper sports reporter and Senior Writer for the now-defunct Memphis Sport Magazine, Johnson founded Making Headline News in December 2016 in Dallas, where he recently wrapped up his fourth season of covering the NBA’s Dallas Mavericks.
Prior to covering the Mavs, Johnson covered the Memphis Grizzlies from 2010-2014.
