Let nothing be done through strife or vainglory; but in lowliness of mind let each esteem other better than themselves. (Philippians 2:3)
Rachel McCarley is one resourceful individual.
A woman of many hats to be more technical.
Aside from being the beloved, big-hearted First Lady of Buffalo, New York’s Tabernacle Of Praise Church, McCarley is widely known as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker for New York State (Psychotherapist), a professional musician, singer, songwriter, and recording artist, as well as an accomplished educator and empowerment speaker.
“I consider myself a lifelong student. I love education and gravitate towards opportunities to learning,” McCarley told Making Headline News this week.
Besides her notable contributions through the education sector, McCarley is an accomplished businesswoman as Founder of Rachel’s Experience Inc. (or RE Inc.), a Buffalo-based nonprofit organization that is geared largely toward designing, facilitating, and implementing experiences to help women, men, families and communities prevent diseases, promote cognitive health, thus produce spiritual fruit.

According to McCarley, whose community-based contributions span more than 16 years, such experiences are empirically based which, in essence, support mostly Western New Yorkers, enabling them to find their place of wellness and reach their personal goals.
Simply put, RE Inc. is a faith-based institution that, according to McCarley, strives to build support on the foundation of the fruit of the spirit, love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and, self-control, as Paul specifically suggests in the fifth chapter of Galatians.
“There has always been a strong urge and passion to serve others,” McCarley explained. “Everywhere my family went and everything we did had centered on serving others (community service of all populations, church events and services, singing for outreach, and religious events). I developed a sense of compassion at an early age and found joy in doing so.”
To her credit, McCarley has since gone to great lengths to help establish her credit nonprofit into the progressive, thriving beacon of light for which it is widely known.
Amongst the reasons is that RE Inc. believes in designing experiences that are thrilling, transformational, and unforgettable, McCarley emphasized.
“It is our hope that the experiences will cause such a change that life practices are positively enhanced because of them,” McCarley said while disclosing a variety of past experiences her organization has had the luxury of exemplifying.
Such notable experiences are, but aren’t limited to:
- A Man’s View of A Women Experience
- Sleep Overs
- Canoe River Experience
- Camping
- Supermarket Tours
- Mindful Meditation
- Art Projects
- Paint Nights
- Adventurous Fitness
- Water aerobics and,
“So many other activities,” McCarley said.
Interestingly, RE Inc. is a little more than 15 years since its inception and, because of McCarley’s valiant presence to the Buffalo community, her organization is one that continues to evolve, thus attract new and innovative ways to support the social, spiritual, health and emotional support of all people.
Credit her solid support system for greatly helping to steer her in the right direction and, most importantly, maximize her potential, courtesy of her array of endeavors.
“I was raised by a loving single mother,” McCarley said. “My mother passionately exposed me and my siblings to a balanced life. Her loving showed her children how to serve others with gentleness, compassion, and joy.”
For what it’s worth, the unyielding love demonstrated by her mother is amongst the key attributes that has greatly enabled McCarley to fortify the kind of love God commands us to.
“We were very young, serving at food pantries, singing at community and religious events, helping the poor, seniors, and community,” McCarley said. “I am so grateful to my mother, who demonstrated a dedicated life to Christ and managing her spiritual relational life while keeping her body healthy and beautiful. She lives a balanced life. Her life was a supreme example of living life.”
Today, unlike never before, McCarley’s kingdom-based nonprofit, too, is a supreme example of living life — a trend by which her mother surely finds intriguing and commendable.
“Do nothing from selfishness or empty conceit — through factional motives, or strife — but with an attitude of humility, being neither arrogant nor self-righteous, regard others as more important than yourselves,” said McCarley, reciting the familiar passage that is Philippians 2:3. “I believe it is my duty to esteem, inspire and empower others, not because I am professionally trained, but because it is in my DNA. My DNA is love. The Fruit Of The Spirit is Love and RE Inc. Loves You.”
Well said by this beloved and resourceful individual.
