For the record, Alandria Lloyd was shocked.
And honored.
Probably in no particularly order, really.
Regardless, come Saturday, Lloyd could very well come away with yet another notable honor during what undoubtedly has been a banner year for this accomplished businesswoman and author.
A native of Hammond, Louisiana, Lloyd recently learned that she is one of three finalists for Mompreneur Of The Year in this year’s iShine Awards that will take place in nearby New Orleans.
“I was shocked and honored to be considered,” Lloyd told Making Headline News this week.
That Lloyd has emerged as a finalist for a remarkable award didn’t come a surprise to many whom, in recent years, have followed her immeasurable body of work that has given way to her having garnered a variety of accolades.
On March 9, for instance, Lloyd was named Making Headline News International Women’s Day Woman of the Year for 2018, edging out 10 other women across the country whom were considered for that honor by the publication’s editorial staff.
“I was overjoyed and in total shock,” Lloyd told MHN during a March interview. “I’m blessed to be considered for such a great title.”
If things unfold in her favor later this week, Lloyd will add another achievement to what is shaping up to be a memorable year for the proud founder of Change Agent Outreach Ministries, LLC.
A ministry she established in November 2017, Lloyd authored “Fasting For Change” Prayer Journal.
“I believe I was nominated for this award, because I strive to show single mothers that it can be done,” Lloyd said. “Babies won’t stop you from fulfilling your dreams but, instead, they give you the fuel to ignite the fire to push in spite of any fatigue or frustration.”
All things considered, Lloyd is hopeful her movement, most notably as ambassador and motivational speaker, will greatly serve as a motivational force to inspire others to broaden their horizon, thus maximize their potential.
“I encourage all women, especially single mothers, to use the gifts God gave them to create wealth and opportunities for themselves,” Lloyd said.
And if she comes away with the covenant Mompreneur Of The Year award…
“It would be a testament of Psalms 46:5,” Lloyd said. “Because God is my foundation and failure isn’t an option.”
Definitely in that particular order, really.
