I consider that our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us. (Romans 8:18 NIV)
DALLAS — For Cherie Jordan, Summer 2018 figures to be one to remember.
Likely for the rest of her life.
“God gave me the vision years ago, but I ran away from the call,” Jordan told Making Headline News this week. “But after listening to several influential Pastors, I decided to write the book and overcome all of my fears.”
The book to which Jordan, 46, is alluding is one that, to her credit, figures to have a massive impact not just amongst her peers, but to the Body of Christ.
A native of Morgan City, Louisiana, Jordan is the mastermind behind the book entitled, Words Will Never Hurt Me, an informative, emotionally-driven, spiritually gut-checking written document that has made its official release on the market.
Jordan will host a local launch of her book on July 8 at Pan-African Connection, located at 4466 South Marsalis Avenue in Dallas.
A book that is comprised of 362 pages, Jordan’s Words Will Never Hurt Me depicts the life of a character named Ronnie whom, according to the author, had what was deemed “the perfect life” every little girl dreamed of.

Moreover, Ronnie’s handsome and successful husband, Michael, and her attractive son, who’s widely known as MJ, resided in an immaculate home located in an upscale neighborhood.
Enjoying what was seemingly a lucrative nursing career, Ronnie’s valiant efforts to create sustained happiness with Michael unfortunately given way to much hostility in the home, thus preventing her from enjoying what she labeled a fantasy life. Consequently, that Ronnie was left to endure what the writer describes as “unthinkable situations” from Michael, she gradually realizes that her life isn’t what she wanted or imagined.
Her biggest, fear, in fact, is leaving a controlling husband and living alone, all the while being left to raise a four-year-old son.
“Ronnie knew she had to leave before it was too late. Or was it already too late?” according to a spokesperson for Jordan’s book at Amazon.com.
A book Jordan commenced to producing in September 2017 and needed approximately three months to complete, Words Will Never Hurt Me was officially published in May 2018 and, much to the delight of Jordan, has become a finished product.
Talk about overcoming her assortment of fears with God, her Helper, leading the way.
“I get tired of seeing women dying almost daily on the news, because they decided to stay in an abusive relationship,” Jordan, a longtime educator for the Dallas Independent School District, said, explain the purpose for producing her first book. “When they figure out they want to get out, it’s too late. Their partner kills them so no one else will have them, per se.”
As it pertains to inspiring and esteeming others through her book, Jordan emphasizes, among other things, that what it all boils down to is women steadfastly knowing their worth, coupled with exemplifying self-love.
“Love yourself before you get involved in a relationship,” Jordan said. “Once you understand your worth, you won’t put up with anything that degrades you.”
A book that is presently available for purchase, but is just weeks away from its launch in the Dallas/Fort Worth area, Jordan is appreciative of the favorable feedback she’s starting to attract.
“I have gotten many accolades for writing the book,” said Jordan, adding that her two sequels are presently in the works for Words Will Never Hurt Me. “I’ve even had a close friend tell me about their domestic abuse situation. I hope to hear more stories. Talking is really the first step in the healing process. If it is hidden, it can’t be resolved. “This book is only scratching the surface of God’s plan for me. I aspire to be a motivational speaker and hopefully bring this book to the big screen.”
A CHERIE JORDAN RELATED STORY:
While Jordan is hopeful that her book will ultimately be erected into a full blown movie, of sorts, she’s pleading with those who can greatly attest to her past experiences to make it a point to purchase Words Will Never Hurt Me.
“I ask that people buy this book, share it, talk about it and heal with it,” Jordan said. “Even though I am healed, I found myself feeling comfort from writing it, because I know someone will be set free after reading it.”
That, after all, practically sums up why Summer 2018 figures to be one to remember for this remarkably brilliant author.
Likely for the rest of her life.
