DALLAS — A little more than 11 years have passed since the death of Necia Jones’ mother.
On Sunday afternoon, Jones paused momentarily to reflect upon her awe-inspiring legacy.
A YEAR TO REMEMBER
WELL-DESERVED HONOR — A native of Houston, Necia Jones is an accomplished Texas entrepreneur, who is the mastermind behind Bossed Up Media. Jones has been named Making Headline News 2018 Woman of The Year.
“My mom is gone, but I still try to make her proud and there’s too many people to name,” Jones said of mother, Nicki Nash, explaining to whom she gives credit for her array of accomplishments this year. “She was so strong, so smart, and so independent. She was a go-getter.”
Interestingly, Nash’s cleverness undoubtedly still lives on through her beloved daughter, one of Houston’s most efficient and resourceful young businesswomen, who has been named Making Headline News 2018 Woman of The Year, an achievement she’s sharing with Flint, Michigan businesswoman Precious S. Brown.
LOOKING DOWN FROM HEAVEN
“This year has been amazing. I’m so thankful for the opportunities that came my way and the people that crossed my path.” — Texas Businesswoman Necia Jones
And, much to the delight of those who have had the luxury of establishing rapports with Jones, they are just as gratified to have crossed paths with a thriving, progressive businesswoman whose reputation is such that she has a heart for people.
A native of Houston, Jones is an accomplished Texas entrepreneur, who is the mastermind behind Bossed Up Media, her Houston-based social media growth company that is geared largely toward enhancing the presence of social media account holders.
Aside from witnessing her globally-acclaimed business venture enjoy sustained success, 2018, by all accounts, was a year filled with a variety of memorable milestones for Jones.
For starters, she twice emerged victorious in notable sales contests, and she managed to launch a Shopify store. As if those developments weren’t enough to enliven her confidence as a successful and resilient businesswoman, Jones had made appearances on a host of podcasts, and her viable presence in the ever-so-competitive world of entrepreneurship had ultimately given way to her receiving a 5K Award for her valiant business-related contributions.
All things considered, Jones doesn’t shy away from the notion that her banner year would not have come full circle if not for an immeasurable supporting cast that is comprised of a gallery of close friends, colleagues, and business associates.

“I’m surrounded by greatness,” said Jones, referring to Caujuan Mayo, Dustin Duffy, Deneen Iverson-Kidd, Philip Gillins, Sharice Styles, Keysha Bass, Thelma Sample, and Nakia Moore as amongst her grandest supporters. “They’ve all been a huge support. I also credit my three children, because they’re my biggest motivation and cheerleaders.”
Looking ahead, Jones appears destined to ensure that 2019 mirrors — or transcends — the success she enjoyed this year.
Jones, in fact, over the weekend provided a glimpse of the upcoming year, one that will be highlighted by the forthcoming release of her book and blog, the expansion of her e-commerce business and releasing courses, as well as her share of traveling to promote her brand.
Just recently, Jones launched Seductive Shapewear, an online store for women of all body types.
“I want to help women feel more confident, because confidence is power,” Jones said.
Confidence undoubtedly has played a massive role in what has been a memorable year for Jones.
“I had a blessed year,” she said. “God really opened doors for me.”
Besides her solid supporting cast, Jones has her late mother thank, particularly for instilling in her the power of going diligently after her dreams.
Lofty dreams, that is.
“I truly believe that persistence pays off,” Jones said. “With the right mindset, you can accomplish anything.”
Well said by this accomplished Texas entrepreneur, who has garnered her rightful achievement as Making Headline News 2018 Woman of The Year.
