Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity! (Psalm 133:1 KJV)
MIGHTY MEN OF VALOR
DALLAS — Andrew J. Landry is all about unity, especially when it comes to men who are committed to advancing God’s kingdom.
That is amongst the reasons this accomplished Houston-area minister has gone to great lengths to host his inaugural Where Men Hurt Conference, a one-day, spiritual empowerment assembly that’s centered largely on equipping the total man to become all that God has predestined him to be.
An event that will take place from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. CST, Landry’s Where Men Hurt Conference will unfold on August 3 at Lighthouse Church, located at 6650 Rankin Road in Humble, Texas.

A power-packed, informative men’s conference that’s powered by Mr. Landry Enterprises, the Where Men Hurt event will highlighted by all all-star lineup of a half dozen speakers, most notably Wheeler Avenue Baptist Church Senior Pastor Marcus Cosby, who will conduct a session on business.
Other featured presenters will include:
- Dr. Lawrence Thompson Jr., who will enlighten the masses on mental health
- Pastor Jerry Martin, who will conduct an informative session on relationships
- Anthony Landry, who will empower attendees on finances
- Dr. Cordell Nkwokeji MD, who will conduct a session on physical health and,
- Pastor Ronald Eagleton, who will speak to the masses on spirituality.
This conference also offers panel discussions and will include food trucks and vendor booths, said organizers for this event.
Having committed his life to Christ sometime in 2007, Landry said the primary purpose for the Where Men Hurt Conference is to strategically provide the importance of education, particularly with regards to finance, mental health, and personal development, all the while providing a safe environment and support system for men to share their challenges, experiences, and healing strategies.
“The mission of ‘Where Men Hurt’ is to build stronger communities, families, and futures by providing men necessary resources, support, and tools to successfully cope with emotions, expectations, and life disappointments,” Landry told Making Headline News this week.
Having authored the book entitled, “Overcoming The Addiction That No One Has” — an awe-inspiring, informative written document that officially made its presence in March 2018 — Landry emphasized this conference is especially essential for advancing the kingdom for such a vital time as now.
“It will provide men with tools and resources to become whole and complete,” said Landry, a native of Raywood, Texas, who is a member of Lighthouse Church that’s Pastored by Keion Henderson. “It will enhance relationships and create bonds, so men can hold each other accountable and encourage each other without fear of judgment.”
As expected, Landry has already fielding some favorable feedback for hosting this conference.
“(Many people have said it’s) much needed…(there’s much) excitement, (and they are) looking forward to attending,” Landry, who holds a degree in pastoral counseling, said. “(They are looking forward to these) dynamic group of speakers.”
Landry’s Where Men Hurt ministry has become a fixture in the Humble, Texas community, mostly notably because of its bi-monthly meetings at Master Barbers Headquarters, located 1502 East First Street, during which men assemble to discuss a variety of pertinent life issues.
ADVANCING THE KINGDOM
Also, while he’s currently promoting his latest book, Landry has announced the forthcoming release of his second book, this one entitled, “After The Violation: A Comprehensive Guide To Healing After Being Sexually Mishandled.”
He’s also announced the upcoming “Women Of Hurt Men Conference,” which will debut in 2020 at a time and date that has yet to be determined.
