SHE GOT THAT WRIGHT
DALLAS — Jade Hall-Wright is just 12 years of age, yet she’s wise beyond her years.
So much, in fact, that Hall-Wright has been blessed to devise a strategic plan to generate wealth, particularly at the adolescent stage.
“My mission is to give back to my community and also to grow up to be a well-known entrepreneur,” Hall-Wright told Making Headline News during a recent interview.
To her distinctly unique credit, this youngster is giving back mightily, thanks in large part to a business venture that is shaping up to become one of Dallas/Fort Worth’s finest — much sooner than later.
A seventh grader at Ignite Middle School, Hall-Wright is the mastermind behind The Wright Pop, a DFW-area gourmet popcorn business that has been opened for operations since May 2019.
All things considered, it seemed that Hall-Wright was thrust into the world of entrepreneurship, considering her family owns the famous Halls Chicken, located at 2327 South Buckner Boulevard in Dallas.
As Hall-Wright explained, it was a few family members who greatly fueled her competitive drive to start a business.
Never mind that she’s still basking in the glory of the preteen stage of her life.
“They have inspired me so much to start my own thing, because ever since I have been a little girl, I have always wanted to grow up and be just like my parents and have my own business,” Hall-Wright said.
Now it appears Hall-Wright is destined to have more of an influential impact as a young entrepreneur.
On Saturday, Hall-Wright will host Kids Corner-The Little Bosses Event, an event that will serve as a strategic platform during which “kidprenuers” come together and sell their products, as well as garner through their rising endeavors.
This is the first year for Hall-Wright’s event, which is available to children ranges between the ages of 5-to-16. The event will take place at CWA Local, located at 1408 North Washington Avenue, Suite 300 in Dallas.
SAVE THE DATE
Approximately nine months removed from its inception, Hall-Wright’s The Wright Pop has become a fixture for offering an assorted popcorn flavors — all for just seven bucks.
“What I like most about having my own business is that I get to be my boss and that I can create such a mark in my community with my great personality and my ability to develop new flavors and still conduct business at such a young age,” Hall-Wright said of a venture that caters to people of all ages.
The family’s youngest entrepreneur, Hall-Wright is forever grateful to those who have inspired her to become a better version of herself — even at the adolescent stage.
“My drive has always come from my family (which has an) entrepreneurial background,” Hall-Wright said. “I always strive to be the best to achieve my dreams.”
Much to her delight, she’s doing just that — all of this at the tender age of 12, yet she’s wise beyond her years.
