“I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.” (John 16:33 NIV)
WOMAN THOU ART LOOSED
Because of who she is and because of where God is taking her, Shameka Jones’ authorship track record is such that she has made a pledge to acknowledge her Creator in all of her ways.
“We wanted to influence women all around the world on how to be empowered, encourage, and on how some of us have overcome our trials by the words of our testimonies,” Jones, during a weekend interview with Making Headline News, said, explaining how she has gone about becoming a Christian-based author.
A native of Durham, North Carolina, Jones has been blessed to emerge as a fixture throughout the Body of Christ, most notably by way of her immeasurable gifts as an author.
Jones is widely known for having contributed to “31 Ways of Influence,” a recently-released anthology that is spearheaded by award-winning author Dr. Derashay Zorn.
One of more than a dozen writers who deemed it essential to join forces to assemble “31 Ways of Influence,” this 250-page project has essentially become a globally-acclaimed masterpiece amid an empowerment conference Zorn hosted some time in 2018.

Released officially on November 1, 2019, “31 Ways Of Influence” is an awe-inspiring, spiritually-empowering book that focuses and teaches specifically on the principles of what these writers describe as “the Proverbs 31 Woman,” many of whom have endured their share of personal experiences as a strategic way to use their expertise to greatly enable other women to become a better version of themselves.
Moreover, each woman in this anthology has provided specific tools for success, all the while utilizing the Proverbs 31 woman attribute as an effective way to have an impact in others’ life.
“They are equipping women on how to show up authentically on purpose and how to utilize what God has placed inside of them to be impactful and influential,” said an Amazon spokesperson for “31 Ways Of Influence” at https://www.amazon.com/WAYS-INFLUENCE-Dr-Derashay-Zorn-ebook/dp/B07YGWVZP1. “It offers 31 tools of success in the areas of entrepreneurship, self-development, spirituality, finances, relationship, intercession, and purpose.”
Generally, each chapter in “31 Ways Of Influence” includes a devotion, supplication, affirmation, and application to equip the women of God in His word of truth.
Not to be outdone, Jones also made valiant contributions to “Letters To My Legacy Volume 1: Letters Of Love From A Mother’s Heart” in what undoubtedly was a banner year for this North Carolina-based author in 2019.
A book that was officially released on May 12, 2019, “Letters To My Legacy Volume 1: Letters Of Love From A Mother’s Heart” was forward by Rhonda Watts-Robinson M.Div. and is comprised of five authors.

“We had to write seven pages for the book and it had to be completed within a month,” said Jones, explaining the memorable developments that transpired during her journey to help assemble “Letters To My Legacy Volume 1: Letters Of Love From A Mother’s Heart.’ “Me and four other women wrote letters to our children about when we were pregnant with them and what we had to endure during pregnancy and after pregnancy, giving them some words of wisdom of maneuvering through life and I also put one of my poems in book about my life. I didn’t have an easy life. I had to fight for everything in life.”
For Jones, it is due in large part because to her bend-but-don’t-break faith, coupled with her quest to live and dwell on the larger side of God that she had subsequently crossed paths with the divine purpose for which she was created — particularly as a devout woman of faith, one who also assumes the roles as an accomplished entrepreneur and life coach.
A mother of two daughters, Jones’ life has been mired by domestic violence, childhood trauma, generational curses and rejection, she explained.
Still, because she was determined to enroll in a school for ministry during which she was afforded the golden opportunity to exemplify her faith through the Word of God, she eventually overcame a rash of obstacles and adversities and turmoil, all of which have enabled her to currently live a life that has become “truly remarkable,” by her standards.
Yep. That’s just like God, always providing for His children a much-anticipated way of escape.
“Every book that I am in is (geared toward) ministry,” Jones said. “I know that is going to touch woman’s lives and they’re going to think to themselves that, ‘If God did it for her, He can do the same thing for me.’ I know that God has placed a deliverance ministry inside of me, so by me telling people my story and how I overcame so many obstacles — as far as being me as a child, being molested and God healed me — when my aunt took me to church and got me prayed over and then I could speak. I’ve been through abandonment issues, rejection, abused mentally, physically, and is a survivor of domestic violence…a single mother (was thought I was about) to die on two different occasions with guns pointed to my head, etc.”
For what’s it worth, Jones emphasized that her assortment of life-changing testimonies as an author is her strategic way of helping to advance the kingdom.
“It’s always been in my heart to help people with whatever issues they have going on,” Jones said. “God has installed the wisdom into me on strategies on how to get over whatever problems that (other women) are having in life.”
