Let nothing be done through strife or vainglory; but in lowliness of mind let each esteem other better than themselves. (Philippians 2:3 KJV)
ELITE STATUS
Lashante Days is an accomplished Georgia entrepreneur, one who has enjoyed a considerable amount of success.
So what is arguably the biggest reason Days is living her best life as an entrepreneur?
For starters, look no further than her spirited countenance which, to her credit, is centered largely on her fervent desire to demonstrate having a heart for people.
Days, 34, owner and CEO of what she appropriately describes as “the esteemed” Salon Elite LLC, her professional hair salon that’s housed in her native establishment of Savannah, Georgia.
“Salon Elite is set apart as a premier hair salon, because I offer every client customized service to meet their hair care needs on all levels,” Days told Making Headline News during a recent interview. “It’s more than just doing hair. It’s my ministry to support the community in believing they can do anything they set their mind to do. I pride myself on creating an atmosphere of order, respect, and quality service.”

The mere fact that Days has diligently assumed a ministerial approach, of sorts, while overseeing the day-to-day operations of her salon has become a continuous thing of beauty, not to mention an attribute her devoted clients have come to embrace.
Armed with over 13 years in her selected industry, Days’ Salon Elite went into full operations on January 1, 2016, a development that was highlighted by a memorable grand opening at 110 East 40th Street.
Since her business’ inception, Days had enjoyed an array of success, coupled with the tireless of support of her husband and the Savannah community.
“(I’m grateful for) Frank Days, my amazing husband, my family, and my church community, The Embassy, (all of whom) have been my inspiration to believe in myself and my dream to open Salon Elite and beyond,” Days said. “In fact, my biggest cheerleader is my husband. He has the gift of being able to see me being able to accomplish something when I don’t believe I can.”
Much to her delight, Days’ family and a host of well-wishers collectively joined forces to ensure that Salon Elite would become the elite business for which it is widely known.
“There have been so many people within these communities that have encouraged me to keep going along the way,” Days, a graduate of Savannah High School Savannah School of Cosmetology (where she earned a Master Cosmetologist License). “I have also completed coursework at Savannah Technical College. My mom gave me the first inspiration; all of my family pitched in to help me buy supplies for the salon. My pastor and church community also donated countless supplies to me and the Salon Elite vision.
“I am grateful to them all and they inspire me to never give up or give in. It’s very strategic that you have people believe in your vision so that you have support to overcome all the obstacles in the way.”
A business that customarily services clients ranging in ages eight to the late 60’s, according to Days, the tireless support she’s acquired in recent years has fueled her desire to become more on an ambassador in the Savannah community.
“Throughout life I’ve learned to trust in the promise of God’s Word in Philippians 4:13: I can do all things through Christ Who strengthens me! So for He’s been leading and guiding me to overcome everything that has come my way. Salon Elite LLC was a God-given vision, which was built around the perspective of royalty. The definition of elite: a select group that is superior in terms of ability or qualities to the rest of a group or society. Salon Elite creates the environment for women of all culture backgrounds to embrace their very unique authenticity. We Encourage all women to be expressive of their beauty and walk in there superiority in the world.” — Savannah, Georgia Businesswoman Lashante Days of Salon Elite LLC
Days said aside from her strategic focus that is centered on expanding her business, plans are in the works to host what she refers to as an annual nationwide stylist brunch.
She said this event will be comprised of different stylists descending upon one establishment during which they would sharpen their gifts, network, share skills and dine together.
“This event will support stylists in expressing who they are in this industry,” Days said. “I believe this venture will be life-changing, because it will encourage stylists to be courageous enough to stand in the truth of who they are.
ELITE EMPOWERMENT OF EXCELLENCE
“This is important to me because in the past, I have had a hard time expressing myself. So with this in mind, I want all stylists to feel confident enough to be who they’re supposed to be…to be their fresh authentic selves.”
Interestingly, Days’ passion for delving off into the ever-so-competitive cosmetology industry dates back to her childhood.
“As a child, I would always want my hair done, but my mom couldn’t afford to get it done, so this inspired me to start doing my own hair,” Days explained. “As I got older, my drive and creative spirit led me to start working as a shampoo assistant with Tammy Stone at Escape Beauty Salon.”
As Days recalled, she was very much in-tuned to all of the pivotal insight she acquired within the walls of Stone’s salon.
“She showed me the proper way to prepare clients for service, from washing hair to deep conditioning hair,” Days said. “I learned all the foundational hair care practices from Ms. Tammy.”
And the rest, as they say, was history.
Today, unlike never before, Days is fervently carrying out the massive vision to which God introduced her — a trend that, to her credit, practically sums why Salon Elite has emerged as an elite ministry in its own right.
“I am alive to make an impact,” Days said. “I believe that my life’s work is to inspire others to also make an impact with their lives. I have learned through the teachings of the Bible that, ‘A good man leaves an inheritance to his children’s children.’ I want to leave an inheritance behind and a legacy. This is the impact that I speak of.”
A rather elite one, to put it more precisely.
