DALLAS — Comia Flynn is a man of distinct fashion, something his daughter, Comia Flynn, has come to embrace throughout most of her life.
“My dad, being a role model to fashion, he was always a tall, handsome statuesque man 6 foot 2, (wore) very nice suits, designer custom shoes, and had a cologne collection out of this world,” Flynn told Making Headline News this week.
Interestingly, Flynn — essentially pulling a page out of her father’s fashion book, of sorts — isn’t one who half steps when it comes to sporting designer attire.
AMAZING T-SHIRT LINE
An Atlanta-area entrepreneur, Flynn deemed it essential to expedite a designer T-shirt line, a newly erected venture that’s already enjoying a considerable amount of success.
“I have always considered myself a creative being,” Flynn said. “I’ve always loved fun tee’s (T-shirts), great smelling candles and makeup and overall love of fashion.”
Speaking of candles, Flynn has added these self-crafted items to her entrepreneurship repertoire, a product that figures to become a constant hot seller as Mother’s Day looms.

Flynn’s business offers T-shirts of all sizes, most notably for plus-size women who are passionate about routinely spicing up their wardrobe.
“What I realized is that some things that I thought were very cute, I could not find in my size, or I felt I can make what I like and where my own name on the label. So that’s what I set out to do.”
And, to her credit, she’s been as good advertised since witnessing her T-shirt line go into full operations. As Flynn acknowledged, her latest endeavor has provided her with a renewed sense of enthusiasm and poise, a trend she hopes will enable her customers to follow suit.
“What I love most about being my business is that it gives me the freedom to be unapologetically me,” Flynn said. “And I want to inspire people to embrace who they really are and don’t apologize for it.”
A business that accommodates individuals and groups ranging in ages 25 to 65 — “and kids think I’m pretty cool too,” Flynn says with a smile — Flynn influence as flourishing businesswoman has afforded her the golden opportunity to serve as a local brand ambassador for Ashley Stewart, as well as a rising actress who previously assumed a lead role in a production called, “Aint Mis Behavin.”
A native of Savannah, Georgia who strategically applies Matthew 10:18-20 to her everyday living, Flynn is no stranger to being thrust before great company.
A member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated, Flynn was on hand recently at the Oscars during which she was a brand ambassador for the Oprah Winfrey 2020 Vision Tour.
“My personal mission for (starting a new business) to be that light where there is not light,” Flynn said. “(I want) to give a smile to someone that has never been smiled at and to share love to those who have never been loved with a hug. If I can help somebody as I pass along, then my living shall not be in vain. There are so many that inspired me.”
Besides her beloved father, amongst those who have inspired Flynn to diligently live her best life and become a better version of herself is her mother.
“I must start with my mother,” Flynn said. “She was always fashionable, from her shoes that matched her purses and her statement pieces of jewelry and fine designer suits that I would sneak and wear to school after she went to work. (Comedian/actress) MoNique inspired when she came on the scene with her sense of plus size fashion from The Parkers to her movie, Phat Girls.”

As COVID-19 crisis begins to come to what many hopes will be an unceremonious end in the foreseeable future, Flynn said she will plan a few public events during she will promote her T-shirt and candle lines.
“My brand is all about finding the best version of yourself and presenting it to the world,” Flynn said.
SHE’S LIT
That, after all, is some pertinent advice passed down from her parents, a couple who’s been married for more than 50 years.
“He’s the type of man that when he walked into a room, everybody stopped and took notice,” Flynn said of her father’s wardrobe. “And my mother was just as strikingly beautiful with a smile that could light up the entire world, (hints) which is where my smile comes from.”
Not to mention her immeasurable entrepreneurship mindset.
