Change will not come if we wait for some other person or some other time. We are the ones we’ve been waiting for. We are the change that we seek. — Barack Obama, 44th President of the United States
SLAM DUNK PICK
During a recent interview with Making Headline News, Peter W. Sherrill was extremely complementary of Mitt Romney, the U. S. Senator of Utah.
“Mitt Romney was the only Republican Senator to stand up and vote to impeach Trump,” Sherrill said. “Mitt Romney was the only Republican Senator to stand with Black Lives Matter. Mitt Romney is not afraid to stand up for what he believes. That’s why (I like) Mitt.”
So much, in fact, Sherrill — a native New Yorker and write-in candidate for President of the United States — announced that he’s strongly considering Romney as his running mate for Vice-President in his bid to unseat incumbent Donald Trump.
Having adopted the catchphrase, A Real Alternative FOR AMERICA, Sherrill is hopeful Romney will his accept a write-in vote campaign.
The news of Sherrill’s potential running mate pick comes nearly eight years to the date when Romney announced his running mate during his 2012 Presidential campaign that ended in a loss to incumbent Barack Obama.
On August 11, 2012, Romney’s campaign announced the selection of Representative Paul Ryan of Wisconsin as his vice-presidential running mate.
Consequently, on August 28, 2012, at the Republican National Convention in Tampa, Romney officially accepted as the nomination for the presidency, becoming the first LDS Church member to be a major-party presidential nominee.
On November 6, Obama was projected the winner at approximately 11:14 p.m. EST. Obama defeated Romney, having garnered 332 electoral votes to Romney’s 206. Romney, in fact, lost all but one of nine battleground states and received 47 percent of the nationwide popular vote to Obama’s 51 percent.
After a term in which Trump’s job approval rating reportedly has steadily plummeted to as low as 38 percent in recent months, Sherrill believes he possesses the essential components to capture the White House and he believes Romney is the ideal running mate to help him pull off the unthinkable.
Election Day is Tuesday, November 3.
“This campaign is comparable to the American Revolution,” Sherrill said. “The write-in vote was put in place by the founding fathers of our Constitution, to preserve our democracy and freedom. So, who wouldn’t want to be a part of something so fundamentally American?
““A divided America cannot and will not ever be a secure America.”
The Director of Emergency Services and Homeland Security, Sherrill, during a July 2020 interview with Making Headline News, Sherrill’s disclosed his notable policies, which includes implementing the following:
Social Justice and Criminal Justice Reform
Liberty and Justice for All
Economic Reform
No more bailouts for Wall Street Education Reform
Breaking the High School to Prison Pipeline
Free Healthcare for Seniors
No more 80/20 for Seniors
No Homeless or Unemployed Veterans in my Administration and,
Building State of the Art Boys and Girls Clubs instead of State-of-the-Art Prisons.
“With this ticket, Sherrill could actually win the presidency with a landslide victory in November and a real opportunity to unite, not divide this country,” a spokesperson Sherrill’s campaign told MHN. “Doesn’t matter whether you are (Joe) Biden or Trump, you should be shaking in your boots, especially after those hundreds of millions of dollars you have received from Wall Street and special interests.”
A 1975 graduate of Mount Vernon (New York) High School, Sherill was a double major at Jacksonville University, where he earned Economics/Management (while minoring in Psychology/Sociology) degrees in 1980. Consequently, he earned a Master’s in Public Administration from The College of New Rochelle, then garnered an Advanced Certification in Communications in 2018.
In another development:
Sherrill, when asked about Trump’s handling of the global pandemic, was extremely critical of the President.
“This global pandemic has caused unprecedented deaths and infections,” Sherrill said. “Presently, the global infection rate has reached 18 million and the death toll has reached 700,000 and continues to climb. The countries that continue to see widespread infections and deaths are the countries that refuse to follow the basic fundamental requirements of wearing a mask and social distancing.
“Unfortunately, the incumbent has proven to be more than incompetent in the handling of this pandemic, which never had to ever reach epidemic proportions. His depraved indifference and gross negligence, combined with the reckless endangerment of our first responders and PPE, are criminal to say the least. Because he said this was a hoax and would disappear has jeopardized our entire country. We have 25 percent of deaths, yet we only (account for) four percent of the world’s population.”
