Do nothing from selfishness or empty conceit, but with humility of mind regard one another as more important than yourselves. (Philippians 2:3 NASB)
MAKING BOSS MOVES
Jalietta Deas Davis wasted little time over the weekend during which she took to her social media page, where she erected a rather informative, thought-provoking post.
Said Davis before her gallery of Facebook followers in a post that was accompanied by her direct contact number:
“These on the rise COVID-19 numbers. Everyone please practice safety and let’s get life insurance for our family!”
To her credit, Davis’ entrepreneurial reputation is such that she’s become a fixture for providing consumers with pertinent, potentially life-altering information that could greatly shape — and enhance — their lives.
A native of Awendaw, South Carolina — a rural Charleston County establishment that is comprised of roughly 1,294 residents, according to the latest U. S. census — Davis is an accomplished entrepreneur who is suitably known as The Insurance Boss.
Armed with more than two decades of entrepreneurial experience, Davis’ diligently stepped out on faith by starting her own brand in January 2020.
Such a development for this successful South Carolina businesswoman couldn’t have come at a better time, especially considering the world is steadily battling an unprecedented global pandemic.
“The thing I love most about being in my business is that it continues to serve people and I love serving and educating,” said Davis, a longtime Corporate America professional who assumes the role as an office manager.
Having also found her niche as a financial services representative, Davis has made immeasurable strides as what is approximately known as a licensed life insurance business entrepreneur.
Generally, The Insurance Boss’ rising endeavor services people and groups ranging mostly in the age brackets of 18-and-up — “but protects from individuals ages two weeks age and above,” she said — and has become committed to living up to its credible slogan: “Impacting Our tomorrow TODAY through Heartfelt Service and Excellence.”
A business that has enjoyed a considerable amount of success since its ceremonious inception this year, Davis has been afforded the golden opportunity to put her compelling entrepreneurial skills on display in as many as a dozen states to date.
“This business has taken me nationwide,” said Davis, adding that she’s devising ways to expand her business in all 50 states and that she welcomes partners to join her on her “crusade.”
And, given the immediate impact she’s had since The Insurance Boss’ inception, it’s safe to assume that better greater days are on the horizon for Davis’ up-and-coming venture.
“My personal mission for doing this work started with my own personal losses and family tragedies,” Davis said. “And getting my family right led to my wanting other families to be right and educated as well, especially after learning we basically knew nothing about this world and what we needed.”
Much to her delight, Davis is forever grateful to her solid supporting cast, which is spearheaded by her family.
“It is very important that I esteem and inspire others’ journey because my story tells the story of many,” said Davis, alluding to her journey of having becoming expecting at the tender age of 15, although her son died from Sudden Infant Death Syndrome at three months after his birth.
GOD’S OVERCOMER
As Davis explained, an assortment of life lessons, by all accounts, has proven extremely vital, particularly as it pertains to discovering her God-given purpose.
“I got pregnant on purpose to so-call replace and get my baby back at 16 (years of age),” Davis recalls. “When I graduated high school, people talked about me, thought all I would do is have babies.”
To her credit, Davis was destined to silence her critics and, most importantly, erase the memory of a rash of ill-advised decisions.
“I went to college, got pregnant at 23, had my second living oldest child, etc.,” she said. “So as a teen mother and single parent, I was successful. I’ve always been a mentor, leader, and businesswoman. I still am, even as a divorcee.
“This is not a job for me. This is my passion, and I strongly believe if you are always willing to serve, you will always have a service to give. The devil is a liar because I defeated, overcame, and rose above all those stereotypes and then some…in Jesus Name.”
Spoken like a true boss.
