Virginia entrepreneur Angela Wrightsell carrying on her grandmother’s massive legacy through her credible creative memories venture

SET ASIDE FOR GOD’S USE
When Angela Wrightsell’s beloved grandmother descended unto glory back in the 1990s, little did she know, she would ultimately discover a rather unique gift.
“(My) competitive drive in life propelled me into my current business venture, but pure happenstance,” Wrightsell, during a recent interview with Making Headline News, said, recalling the memorable developments that led to the startup of her latest business venture. “We had a death in our family many years ago of my grandmother. I was thrust into making her funeral program. Keep in mind, this was back with the DOS version of Word Perfect. This occurred around the 1990s. Little did I know, the affects this would have on me current day.”
To her distinctly unique credit, Wrightsell deemed it essential to establish a business whereby she would customarily help people cherish the memories of their loved ones — whether deceased or alive — for years to come.
A native of Hampton Roads, Virginia, Wrightsell is the mastermind behind a credible business that’s widely known for making creative memories.
“And not just for those who have passed on,” Wrightsell said, “but those who are living. We must make memories to keep ourselves alive in the hearts of our loved ones.”
An accomplished paralegal for one of the premier law firm in her area, Wrightsell is suitably known as a memory maker, she told MHN.
A business that has enjoyed a considerable amount of success for the past three decades, Wrightsell’s globally acclaimed endeavor caters to people and groups of all ages.
Interestingly, Wrightsell has become a creative memories fixture for routinely assembling what is known as party favors, T-shirts and other hand-crafted items, from baby showers products to celebrate the soon arrivals of new babies, to a wide range selection of items to celebrate the life of someone — most notably funeral programs, celebratory mints, and personalized memorial candles, among other items.
“My personal mission for doing this work is to bring joy to someone’s heart for whatever type of celebration they are facing,” Wrightsell said. “I want to impart a special memory of the person being celebrated in a way that they will say it was nobody but God.”
In a nutshell, Wrightsell emphasized, among other things, that she’s fully convinced she’s been strategically handpicked by God to impact lives in such an unorthodox way.
“I’d like to believe that my hands are gifted and all works that I do are of God and not my own doing,” Wrightsell says without hesitation. “I absolutely love surprising the clients with the finished products. Most often, I am asked to just let my creativity flow and, sometimes, I have to really seek God and ask for His direction.”
Much to her her delight, Wrightsell’s creative memories venture is steadily attracting consumers outside of her native establishment of Virginia.
“While I do most of my business locally, the furthest I have traveled for my business was Georgia to personally deliver some items for a homegoing celebration.”
More than 30 years removed from having discovered a life-altering passion that, to her credit, has become a full-fledged business, Wrightsell’s featured endeavor’s best and brightest days are well ahead of it.
All things considered, she’s forever grateful to the immeasurable impact of her mother, who inspired to move forward with her business.
“My mother is my major inspiration,” Wrightsell said. “It was her ‘bright idea’ to have me do the funeral program for Grandma Georgia. Our family was so pleased with everything about this program and how it celebrated the legacy of Georgia Taylor, the then-family matriarch.”
Today, Wrightsell has become a fixture for greatly helping other create lasting memories.
“I think it is imperative to esteem and inspire others daily because you never know where a person is in their thoughts,” said Wrightsell, a married mother of five children and six grandchildren (five grandsons and one granddaughter) who will welcoming a sixth grandson ‘any day now, she added.
“A smile is just a facade and can be masking how a person really feels. A quick inspiration or esteem check in a conversation can put life into a person.”
All the while creating creative memories in the process.
