Rejoice evermore. Pray without ceasing. In everything, give thanks, for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you. (1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 KJV)
INTERACTING WITH GOD
Alvina Ryan’s awe-inspiring, life-altering vision in late 2019 came amid a personal dialogue with Almighty God.
“The vision was given to me (late that year),” Ryan, during a weekend interview with Making Headline News, said, recalling the memorable developments that had ultimately given way to her featured book. “At the time, I was strengthening my own Christian walk. I was praying to have a deeper relationship with God. By March, I was asking my friends if they would like to participate. April 1, 2020 was the official start of the project.”
The project to which Ryan is alluding is iPray On Purpose Because: Prayers For Faith, Hope, Victory & Deliverance.
A book that is comprised of 175 pages in length, Ryan’s iPray On Purpose Because was officially published in November 2020 and, much to her delight, has been as good as advertised.
“It was (during this global pandemic) COVID-19 and we needed something to do to distract us from all the uncertainty,” Ryan, a Montreal, Quebec-based writer, said, explaining the purpose for her book. “People were searching for meaning, looking for purpose, and connecting to God. I received a few testimonies and also decided to infuse them into the book. The end result was 175 pages on the power of prayer, prayers for faith, hope, victory, and deliverance. Really and truly, prayer changes things.”

As for what fueled her desire to compose iPray On Purpose Because, Ryan doesn’t shy away from the notion that it was all mandated by her Creator.
And, if God said it, that settles it.
“I was purposefully chosen by God to do this, and I want to leave a legacy,” Ryan said. “I repeat daily part of the Lord’s prayer: ‘Not my will, but Thine be done.’ Where He leads, I follow. As an author, writing books will be part of my legacy. The words on the pages will be here long after I am gone. My children, future grandchildren, and future great-grandchildren will get to experience part of me in print.”

According to Ryan, she initially grasped the vision to assemble her featured written work in April 2020 and needed approximately five months to write it in its entirety. Two months later, Ryan’s published masterpiece was hot off the presses, followed by a virtually launch of a book that figures to help advance the kingdom for years to come.
“It was truly a blessing to celebrate this milestone with everyone,” Ryan said of her book launch that officially jumpstarted her authorship debut. “Prayer is a two-way communication with God. When we speak to God, He communicates back to us. Prayer needs to become a habit infused into our daily lives. It is a time to connect with God and develop a relationship with Him. Pray because you want to. Make it purposeful. Talk to Him as a friend. Watch your life be transformed as you learn how to pray. The prayers of our writers will inspire, motivate, and encourage readers to put their trust in God no matter what obstacles are placed before them. These prayers attest to the awesome power of God. Use this book as a tool to boost or to jumpstart your prayer life.”
Besides iPray On Purpose Because: Prayers For Faith, Hope, Victory & Deliverance, Ryan has announced that a new book is currently in the works and scheduled to debut this Fall.
In addition, Ryan is one of 90 co-authors to share of her life-altering journey in Finding Joy In the Journey Vol 2: Healthy Ways To Find Joy During Difficult Times 90 Day Devotional, Vernessa Blackwell’s highly-anticipated 12th anthology that made its official debut in July 2021.
A book that is comprised of 190 pages in length, a massive pool of co-authors has assembled to collectively engage in real talk about finding joy during difficult times, most notably COVID-19, loss, love, grief, and healing, among other pertinent topics, Blackwell told MHN during a recent interview.
“It was an honor to be a part of this book collaboration,” Ryan said of Blackwell’s Finding Joy In the Journey Vol 2. “Really and truly a real blessing. Networking with the other authors has been phenomenal.”
Widely regarded as an accomplished teacher, massage therapist, spa expert, and progressive businesswoman whose entrepreneurial resume spans more than two-and-a-half decades, Ryan acquired an undergraduate degree in Exercise Science (with Honors in Athletic Therapy) from Concordia University. She also earned a Healthcare Management and Administration diploma from the John Molson School of Business.
Also, Ryan said: “Also in partnership with WIBCA, the EMPOWERED WOMEN scholarship was created to help a young lady in the community pursuing higher education. The first recipient received the award in September of 2021. Empowered women empower women.“

“I truly believe that everything I do is spirit-led,” Ryan said. “Thus, it is comforting that I still have a purpose. I can still use my talents and gifts for Him. Now I live my life on purpose and empower and inspire others around me to do the same.”
An iPray On Purpose Because book that has given way to a rash of favorable reviews, Ryan said other books are on the horizon, a few of which will be composed in different languages.
“I live in Quebec, Canada, and we speak both English and French,” Ryan said. “This Fall, I plan to release the sequel to the first book called, iTestify On Purpose Because. It is a powerful book that testifies to the faithfulness of God. The testimonies are so powerful. God is so good and merciful to us. I also have a story that I have been working on for two years that I hope to release it next year as well.”

Interestingly enough, Ryan hopes to host a book tour soon during which she will be afforded the opportunity to promote her books.
“By God’s grace, I will have my calendar filled,” Ryan said. “I really do not chase these opportunities. I let God set that up. He attracts the right people into my life. I really believe when it is the right time, the right places will contact me, and the right doors will open.”
Just as they did in late 2020.
