“I needed clothes, and you clothed me. I was sick and you looked after me. I was in prison, and you came to visit me.” (Matthew 25:36)
SET ASIDE FOR GOD’S USE
In case you don’t know him, Dytaan Carter would like to introduce himself.
A well-respected faith-based empowerment extraordinaire in his own right, Carter, 41, is a native of Detroit, Michigan.
A rising motivational speaker, Carter — suitably known as “DT” — is an ordained elder and longtime Biblical teacher and facilitator.
Having studied Theology at Oral Roberts University, Carter has become a fixture for training teachers from classroom settings and, to his credit, he has taught and trained in prisons for the past 12 years. In addition, his expertise is centered on working with boys and girls, motivating today’s youths for a better tomorrow.
CHRIST IS SPEAKING…
“I am licensed to certify leaders in church settings, trauma, and thinking for a change classes,” Carter said. “I am licensed to marry, baptize, and give eulogies at funerals. I have always been competitive. Throughout my lifetime, I have been able to survive. I grew up in an environment of survivors. I am able to relate to children with similar tactics. I grew up in a home with one parent, and I was always wanting an answer to why I only had one parent.
“Also, I had family members that grew up without any parents and some in foster homes that I had to visit. I noticed that some were above the age to be placed in homes, so they had to live in the center. I never liked how that worked so I always wanted to give back hope to the hopeless. Seeing hurt children like this was my drive to give back.”
BEAUTY FOR ASHES
Having adopted the cliché, “Wait Until You Meet The Best Me I Can Be,” Carter emphasized, among other things, his personal mission for operating in his divine calling is centered largely on empowering others for a better tomorrow.
This is done, he said, by sacrificing and showing love today.
ADVANCING THE KINGDOM
A Christ-centered profession that is fueled by his reverence and honor to Jesus Christ, Carter also credits Lontina Carter, Apostle and Mother Billy, Laramie Jackson, Eric Thomas, his children, “children in need,” Maranda Carter, a host of single mothers, Tony Gadson, Jeremy Glover (his communications coach), Kerry Kirvin, those currently incarcerated, as well as foster parents for collectively paving the way to him reaping sustained success.
Interestingly enough, Carter for 15-plus years has been involved in leading and inspiring others to walk in what he appropriately describes as “their true identity.”
“It is imperative that inspire others because it’s my purpose,” Carter says without hesitation. “True life is living to serve your purpose. I live to leave a legacy, but I am only able to do so by giving to others what God has put in me. I live to give, and I am willing to die for the cause to save lives.”
