“Every little girl watching tonight sees that this is a country of possibilities. And to the children of our country, regardless of your gender, our country has sent you a clear message: dream with ambition, lead with conviction, and see yourself in a way that others might not see you, simply because they’ve never seen it before. And we will applaud you every step of the way.” — Kamala Harris, Vice-President Elect of the United States of America

To her credit, it is through Dr. Hendricks’ solid leadership that is centered largely on “meeting people where they are,” that has greatly catapulted her to garner such an honor on a national stage December 9 at New Black Wall Street Market at 2 p.m. EST in Stonecrest, Georgia.
Tickets to the ceremony will be available July 11, according to a spokesperson for the event.
Generally, The Presidential Lifetime Achievement Award is widely considered one of the highest honors presented to individuals who have overcome significant obstacles to achieve impressive accomplishments, thus dedicated their lives to advocating for the most vulnerable among humanity and acted with bravery to drive change in their communities — and across the world — while blazing trails for generations to come.
As part of Making Headline News’ 2023 Essence Music Festival national coverage amid “the party with a purpose” event June 29-July 3 in New Orleans, Dr. Hendricks spoke at length about the notable community service, which includes pouring “countless hours” into her passion for empowering others, specifically women and children, the Baltimore native told MHN.
“Many people measure success by possessions or finances, but I measure my success by the assignments that I complete daily that is given to me by God,” Dr. Hendricks said. “My desire to live a purpose-filled and driven life starts daily with seeking God’s master plan for my life.”
Not only that, Dr. Hendricks emphasized, among other things, her steadfast willingness to selflessly give to others was instilled in her at an early age. Her parents and grandparents, she recalls, were her examples of what service to humanity looked like. Watching them serve in both the community and church, Dr. Hendricks subsequently combined both of those experiences and began to look for opportunities to help others.
Widely regarded also as a visionary who believes in leading by example, Dr. Hendricks thrives on never asking someone to do something that she would not do, she stressed.
“It is my belief the easiest way to get someone to work for you is to work side-by-side as a team,” Dr. Hendricks said. Having grasped the understanding that education would provide opportunities beyond the “city limits” in which she lived, Dr. Hendricks earned her undergraduate degree from Hampton University and her graduate degree from Bowie State University.

While attending graduate school, in fact, Dr. Hendricks mentored a young lady through the Big Brothers Big Sisters program. Interestingly enough, she was 21 years old when she was compelled to become a foster care and adoptive parent to her mentee.
As Dr. Hendricks recalls, she never envisioned raising a child as a young single parent, but she embraced her purpose of sacrificing for and giving back to others. Her experience with the child welfare system subsequently inspired her to launch The Hendricks Hope Foundation, her rising nonprofit organization.
Generally, the foundation has helped over 1,400 children nationwide. Also, these programs have provided funding for essential items, school supplies, toys, and extra-curricular activities.
Prior to becoming a full-time entrepreneur, Dr. Hendricks worked in Corporate America in multiple areas, including — but not limited to — project management, quality assurance, and federal investigations.

Together, they have grown to a network of over 90,000 entrepreneurs.
By all accounts, her dedicated work ethic as a network marketing professional has led to her becoming one of the company’s tops leaders and she has received the 6-Figure Earner award since 2018.
As an avid world traveler, Dr. Hendricks has visited numerous African countries. In 2019, she visited Mombasa, Kenya, where she “fell in love” with the children and culture. She spread her altruistic intentions globally by sponsoring the Girl Power program. Girl Power ensures that girls in grades 4-8 can stay competitive with their male peers in the areas of education and employment. Without her aid, the girls would have lost valuable enhancement and mentoring services.
Despite the pandemic, Dr. Hendricks in 2021 funded the program for a third year. She is not only a sponsor, but a fully engaged participant in the program’s success. She also sponsors the degree completion program for one of the teachers. Inspired by her initiative, her inner circle is currently sponsoring the education of 24 children and the degree completion of two teachers.
She is ensuring that the present and futures attendees of Girl Power have role models and mentors invested in their success.
Moreover, Dr. Hendricks’ immeasurable entrepreneurial spirit and compassion for others led her to opening Trusted Home Care, a licensed, family run, assisted living facility, an organization that provides a trustworthy environment in which people are at ease with the care their loved ones receive.
WE’RE BETTER TOGETHER
Interestingly enough, Dr. Hendrick’s continuous service to mankind has not gone unnoticed.
