As Borden vividly recalls, her quest to emerge as a first-time published author dates back some four years ago, although such a fantasy had essentially remained stagnant for a considerable amount of time due to various circumstances.
“Honestly, I have been sitting on four books for years that the Lord has had me start,” Borden told MHN. “However, fear and life had been a paralyzing situation for me.”
Fortunately for Borden, that certainly wasn’t the case — at least not this year.

Mission accomplished for this Largo, Maryland native, one of 48 co-authors who have graced the pages of collaborative written work that had created a widespread national buzz weeks prior to its release.

“This book gave me the push I needed to reclaim my voice and call the warrior out of other women to keep fighting until they see every dream, every vision, every promise manifest,” Borden said.
Generally, the legwork for Seeing Myself In HER Story: A Sister Circle Of Stories To Connect, Heal, and Push Us Through commenced in January and took somewhere in the neighborhood of approximately six months to complete.
“It doesn’t matter where you are in life, Seeing Myself in HER Story offers inspiration to all readers,” said a spokesperson for Paige’s first anthology via Amazon.com. “The book greets every reader with testimonies that uplift, encourage, and act as a guide. I want to call women up to a place where they can smell the roses that they have planted, even in dark situations and keep going.”
A rising empowerment extraordinaire in her own right, Borden doesn’t shy away from the notion that she has been strategically called to transform communities, particularly by changing mindsets, enlarging vision, and by what she describes as commanding hope to arise, she said.
“However, communities will not change until the women and men that run the families can see the bigger picture,” Borden said. “I am called to transform communities and families, one person at a time.”
Now that her debut as an author has finally come to fruition, Borden hints it is a foregone conclusion that other books are on the horizon.
Much sooner rather than later, of course.
WITHOUT FURTHER DELAY
“Yes, there are several (books),” Borden said. Now that the momentum is here, it’s all gas and no breaks.”
Indeed, it is, for this first-time published writer, who’d be the first to admit she relishes the fact that she finally has an authorship voice, as evidenced by what unfolded on Sunday.
“For so long, people have tried to silence me, and I have not told my story because I allowed them to bully me out of my truth,” Borden said. “But this book is just a glimpse of my story now that I have regained my voice. I encourage people to not be bullied out of telling their truth. Someone needs to hear from you.”
Amen to that, sister.
