For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worth comparing with the glory that is to be revealed to us. (Romans 8:18/NIV)
ABUNDANT LIFE LESSONS
Given the rash of life-altering developments some 12-plus years ago that abruptedly surfaced in her life to challenge her faith, it’s safe to assume the adversary tried all he could to rob Milicent Driver of the abundant life that Christ came to give her.
Consider, for instance, the slew of tumultuous experiences Driver endured that bridged 2011 and 2012.
Months after the untimely 2011 death of her son, Driver subsequently encountered even more turmoil the ensuing year, during which she suffered a series of strokes, a downtrodden, turbulent season that essentially left her life hanging in the balance in the process.
But God…Whom, much to the delight of Driver, had ultimately matched her series of health challenges with an array of comeback miracles for the ages.

Approximately 12 years removed from arguably the darkest season of her life, Driver can greatly attest to the notion that God has spared her life unlike never before, as this Merrillville, Indiana-based author has chronicled in the The Beautiful Face of The Invisible Illness: Masking The Pain We Endure, Visionary Author Nadia Monsano’s highly-anticipated anthology that will make its ceremonious debut in the coming weeks.
For Driver, her latest authorship milestone comes amid humble beginnings, something she doesn’t merely take for granted.
A spiritually-empowering, riveting book collaboration that is accompanied by 17 co-authors, Driver deemed it essential to pen the chapter entitled, Mind Over Matter: Embracing Life After Illness.
“This chapter is a testimony of me having multiple strokes in 2012, which left me unable to work,” Driver, a native of Gary, Indiana, told Making Headline News this week. “The strokes happened a year after my son’s passing, so this was definitely a time of struggle.”

Still, even in aftermath of what undoubtedly could be summed up as a dreaded season in the wilderness, Driver found the strength to recall how God miraculously snatched life from the jaws of death.
Time and time again.
“I wrote this chapter to encourage others who may have felt inadequate or incapable after ischemic strokes that we can overcome and live the best life we can despite these challenges,” Driver said. “It is truly mind over matter.”
More than anything, Driver emphasized, she is destined to customarily bring awareness to the knowledge of Ischemic strokes, warning signs, and how to embrace after having a stroke.
“I found myself feeling embarrassed because was not able to do some of the things I once did,” Driver recalls. “I felt like I would be accepted. I reached beyond those barriers and was determined to do what I could do in my life even if it wasn’t as before. I want others to not give up on life, but to do the best they can, regardless of what others expect or think.”
An esteemed entrepreneurial strategist and speaker who has become a fixture for empowering professional women on their entrepreneurial journeys, Driver is the mastermind behind two solo-authored books: Pretty Ugly: Strategies To Developing Your Mindset & Discovering The Beauty Within and Self Love: Affirmations and Strategies To Embracing The Essence of You.
Both written works were released in March 2022.
Generally, Driver’s Pretty Ugly: Strategies To Developing Your Mindset & Discovering The Beauty Within eloquently reminds her readers about the importance of learning to love yourselves, accepting your authenticity, and appreciating what’s on the inside is key to boosting your self-esteem, according to detailed synopsis of this author’s book via Amazon.com.
“There is also motivational affirmations and a special journaling area for you to empty your head of your innermost thoughts to help you stop the negativity, reflect on the important stuff, and become a confident, calm, woman of substance,” Drivers writes via Amazon. “So, if you’ve been struggling to respect and accept yourself lately and don’t know how to get out of that rut, start reading this book today and embrace a new way of thinking.”
BUT WAIT, THERE’S MORE
As for Self Love: Affirmations & Strategies to Embracing the Essence of You, Driver’s sophomore solo-authored book is purposed to help readers gain deeper insights into their life, sort out emotions, evaluate progress and create their own healing process as they lead to total self-love and self-acceptance.
“Readers will celebrate strengths, increase confidence, and rise to any challenge they may face,” Driver writes via Amazon.
Besides gracing the pages of a forthcoming anthology and her two solo books, Driver has served as co-authors for three other collaborations: Joy 365, Rising Women, and Beyond Boundaries.

Moreover, as a certified Christian Life Coach in Evangelism and Exhortation, Driver has developed a keen passion for adding what she describes as a “faith-based dimension” to her distinct style of empowerment coaching.
REAPING A HARVEST
