She considers a field before she buys or accepts it — expanding her business prudently — with her profits, she plants fruitful vines in her vineyard. (Proverbs 31:16 Amplified Bible)
FAMILY FOCUS
DALLAS — Yolanda Dave O’Neal has joined forces with her little brother for what could be appropriately summed up as an entrepreneurial Dream Team, of sorts.
That’s because just recently, Allen Dave Funeral Directors And Cremation Tribute Center President Dr. Allen Dave announced that O’Neal has been named Managing Agent Partner for The Allen Dave Insurance Group, which falls under the umbrella of his featured Houston-based business endeavor, which is celebrating its 20th year of existence.
For O’Neal, 59, her rise to assuming her latest professional endeavor comes amid the immeasurable strides she’s made as a well-respected life insurance agent, a stint that spans some 15 years.
“I’ve always been driven by opportunity,” O’Neal, during a recent interview with Making Headline News, said of partnering with her brother, who is widely regarded as one of the nation’s finest death care professionals. “My prayer has always been for the opportunity to grow and accomplish all that I desire and to let the rewards bless my family and the families I serve.”

“This business offers unlimited potential in earnings and advancement,” O’Neal told MHN. “It also allows me the ability to take control of my life so that I can live a life by design.”
A native of Houston whose notable professional line work includes a solid stint as a registered nurse, real estate agent, and registered securities representative, O’Neal is a graduate of Houston’s Forest Brook High School.
Consequently, she enrolled at Prairie View A&M University, where she earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing. She would later acquire a Master’s in Business Administration from Texas Women’s University at Houston.
When asked what her strategic mission in her new role for The Allen Dave Insurance Group is, O’Neal said:
“I’m on a mission to help families and communities have wonderful end of life celebrations. I want to educate them on the process of planning for these celebrations, the types of services available, and the costs.”
Interestingly enough, O’Neal emphasized she is committed to customarily providing clients with a planner and an affordable insurance plan so they can put their wishes in writing and have the funds to cover their wishes.

“It is so important for others to realize there is unlimited potential in each of us,” O’Neal said. “We can live the life we dream of when we believe it is possible. The Bible teaches that all things are possible. We just have to believe and have faith. I want our team to know that with focus, discipline, and strong work ethics, we can have what God has in store for us.
“Life comes full circle when we have end-of-life celebrations,” O’Neal continued. “Advance planning and advance funding are one amongst the greatest gifts we can leave as a final farewell to our families. This takes away the emotional stress and financial stress on the worst day of their life. My goal is to help families and communities have wonderful end-of-life celebrations.”
All the while taking some of the load off of little brother in the process.
Talk about an entrepreneurial Dream Team, of sorts.
