She considers a field before she buys or accepts it — expanding her business prudently — with her profits, she plants fruitful vines in her vineyard. (Proverbs 31:16 Amplified Bible)
EMBRACING HER DESTINY
To her credit, LaTanya Harris-Gooden has been making some remarkably compelling strides ever since she delved into the entrepreneurial sector.
For starters, Harris-Gooden has garnered high praises, particularly since she established LHG Consulting, her Westland, Michigan-based featured business endeavor that has become a fixture for providing administrative and onboarding assistance, as well as customer service and call center development training.
Generally, LHG Consulting is widely regarded as a hub where entrepreneurs can receive guidance and structure as they prepare to launch, re-launch, and create their own blueprint of customer advocacy.
“In a world where we do not value each other, and we have lost touch with what the true-life blood of good business relationships look like, we aim to restore the art of one-on-one conversations, effective listening and even servant leadership,” Harris-Gooden told Making Headline News during a recent interview.

Moreover, LHG Consulting, by all accounts, is suitably known as what Harris-Gooden describes as an umbrella holding company that is the glue that directly supports the following entities:
- POLISHED ON PURPOSE PAPARAZZI: “This business venture allows me to act as an independent consultant for the Paparazzi Corporation,” Harris-Gooden said. “In this business, I am able to do direct sales of affordable $5 and $25 nickel and led free jewelry to the public. This company is not only about sales and revenue, but this is also a ministry. Through live videos, hostess parties and more, I am able to bring hope, encouragement, and motivation to people across the globe. This business was started during the COVID-19 pandemic when the world was shut down. These live videos were airing on Facebook and infused music, ministry, jewelry, and laughter together to create a live shopping experience like no other.”
- POWER HOUR: “This is a one-hour podcast that centered around becoming better in our personal business affairs, corporate experiences,” Harris-Gooden said. “This includes discussion around fundamental principles such as better time management, customer service skills, keeping a personal and business calendar, dealing with anxiety and depression in business and more. This podcast is historically aired on Monday when most people need the time to set their week up for success. We discuss techniques that help is to regain our power so that we are taking the driver’s seat in our own God-given destiny of good success.”
- GIRLCHAT WEEKLY: “This podcast is all about women of all ages. For 60 minutes, we tackle subjects such as women’s health, wealth, relationships, body image, parenting, sisterhood and more,” Harris-Gooden said. “Our shows are connected to three major principles: Community, Confidence, and Commitment. This is our way of having a virtual lunch with a sister-friend with great conversation that we need. This is a place where we read together, we pray together and we make sure no woman, or young girl is left behind in any way. We have a series called “Women in Business” where we showcase female entrepreneurs who are movers and shakers in their fields.”
- CRITICAL CONVERSATIONS (Feature Show): “This is the show where we dive deep into one of the seven dimensions of wellness: physical, emotional, mental, spiritual, financial, social, intellectual, vocational, and environmental,” Harris-Gooden said. “This show was birthed from a place of navigating through childhood trauma in my 40’s. After feeling stuck and voiceless emotionally, I started a series of Facebook and YouTube videos that help people tell their stories and live release the shame and stigma of mental illness and all types of traumas.”

Interestingly enough, Harris-Gooden in 2022 was asked to join the Trailblazerz Radio Network of podcast hosts which, much to her delight, helped propel the show into other markets.
“This show has featured guests in the mental health professions, community organizations, authors and more,” she said. “This concept is how GirlChat Weekly and Power Hour were birthed, and the intent is to foster an environment of safety to discuss topics many of us were forbidden to ever talk about. We do not believe silence is always golden and in some cases, silence has been deadly as the suicide rate continues to show us.”
A native Detroiter, Harris-Gooden said she is in transition from “corporate to creative,” having semi-retired from over 20 years in the auto and home Insurance claims industry.
SERVANT’S HEART
“This included starting as an entry level customer service representative for over 10 years, then moving into leadership, then into corporate training and consulting and landing in a management role,” said Harris-Gooden, who boasts over 25 years of call center and customer service experience and 30-plus years of corporate knowledge experience.
“It is important to be a light in a world of darkness,” Harris-Gooden continued. “So much death and destruction are around us that the light is needed, wanted, and necessary. Also, I feel the need to invest in people just as my mentors have done and continue to do for me. The ‘Each One, Teach One, Each One, Reach One’ mantra and the village concept cannot go extinct. The life and vitality of our community depends on us as givers.”
