FULFILLING HER DESTINY
For Angie L. Woods, those figurative rounds of applause just keep pouring in.
For what it’s worth, such a trend figures to continue until sometime in early September.
That when Woods, a Columbia, South Carolina-based businesswoman-turned-philanthropist, will be officially christened with the 2024 Presidential Lifetime Achievement Award.
Powered by Dr. Verlisa Wearing’s The RiseHer Network, Woods will be officially honored during a celebratory gala at Marriott Atlanta Airport in College Park, Georgia September 7.
SALUTING WOMEN WHO SHAPE OUR WORLD
MORE ON WOODS: empoweringlives.net
As part of Making Headline News’ 2024 Essence Music Festival advance coverage leading to the “the party with a purpose” event July 5-7 in New Orleans, Woods said she is grateful of the notion that her forthcoming honor comes amid her valiant contributions as a progressive empowerment professional who serves as the face of Empowering Lives Counseling & Consulting, LLC.
Meanwhile, the Presidential Lifetime Achievement Award is widely regarded as one of the highest honors presented to individuals who have overcome significant obstacles to achieve impressive accomplishments, thus dedicating their lives to advocating for the most vulnerable among humanity and acted with bravery to drive change in their communities — and across the world — while blazing trails for generations to come.

In essence, the Presidential Lifetime Achievement Award is designed in large part to shine the spotlight on honorees of their respective community, particularly for their unwavering dedication to bettering the lives of others, the community, and ultimately the country.
A well-respected Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in her own right, Woods relishes the notion that her tireless contributions through community services has given way to her emerging as a recipient of arguably one of the nation’s most prestigious awards.
“Everyone is super excited,” Woods, a native of Swainboro, Georgia, told Making Headline News this week. “I am still responding to hundreds of congratulatory messages on social media.”
According to Woods, she initially was informed by The RiseHer Network officials earlier this month that she had been named a recipient for the Presidential Lifetime Achievement Award.
Much to her delight, she’s been smiling from ear-to-ear ever since.
“I was elated,” Woods told MHN. “There are times when I have given so much of myself to others and never required anything in return. I saw this as God’s way of rewarding me nationally.”
GOD-ORDERED STEPS
Because of whom she is and because of where God is taking her, Woods can relish the fact that she has been positioned to enjoy the fruits of her labor.
Once again.
Only this time, though, such enjoyment will unfold on a national stage.
That, as a result, practically sums up why those figurative rounds of applause just keep pouring in.
And rightfully so.
