I returned, and saw under the sun, that the race is not to the swift, nor the battle to the strong, neither yet bread to the wise, nor yet riches to men of understanding, nor yet favour to men of skill. But time and chance happeneth to them all. (Ecclesiastes 9:11/KJV)
BLESSED & RESILIENT
To her credit, Avalon S. Brown has graced the pages of eight anthologies to date.
As it turned out, that was enough to enable her to come up with a rather compelling concept, one that has ultimately given way to this accomplished New Jersey writer composing her 19th book — this after she made ceremonious authorship debut a little more than a decade ago.
“As I was thinking about how I had put pieces of my life into different anthologies,” Brown recalls, “I decided why not put all my testimonies into one book.”
To book to which Brown is referring is Unbroken Spirit: A Journey Of Redemption, Resilience, & Healing, her featured written work that made its official debut in July.

As part of Making Headline News’ advance national coverage of Sarah Jakes Roberts’ Second Annual Woman Evolve Conference that takes place September 26-28 from Globe Life Field in Arlington, Brown emphasized, among of other things, she was destined to display her assortment of stories in a book she controlled.
“If someone never bought the book one of the stories was in, they could read them all at once and have them in the order of life that they happened,” Brown told MHN.

SET ASIDE FOR GOD’S USE
When asked what divine message she endeavors to send to her reading audience through Unbroken Spirit: A Journey Of Redemption, Resilience, & Healing, Brown said:
“We will also have things to go through in life, but we can’t let them stop us from living or give up. If you keep your faith and believe, you will hold on to God to see you through. When you jump one hurdle, know that somewhere down the road, the next hurdle is waiting. But if your life is in God, He has prepared the way for you to jump over the hurdle and keep going. The way is already made. You must trust and believe he will see you through.”
Besides having contributed to eight anthologies, Brown has solo-authored 11 books, most notably three nursing-related projects.

Having compiled a professional nursing career than spans more than three decades, Brown the Visionary Author for her 2023-released anthology, Nursing Is Our Passion: We Can’t Quit.
A book that is little more than three months from its release, Brown is seemingly being more aggressive in promoting Unbroken Spirit: A Journey Of Redemption, Resilience, & Healing.
“A friend’s feedback has been positive,” Brown told MHN. “However, the book hasn’t been advertised as much as it should.”
Added Brown:
“As an adult, I realize God had chosen me from birth to serve him. But that was not the path I took in my younger years. Now I know I am here to lift people up and show love to people even when they show hate. Going through all my situations will show people the strength you can have if you hold on to God’s promise that He will always be with you to the end.”
