Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. members Dr. Marcea B. Whitaker, Dr. Erica Perry Green to be named Making Headline News Women of The Year for 2024

DALLAS — It would be somewhat befitting to label it a pink and green sweep.
Dr. Marcea B. Whitaker and Dr. Erica Perry Green both will be named Making Headline News Women of The Year for 2024, as announced Sunday by the Dallas/Fort Worth-based media outlet.
Both of whom are longtime members of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated, Dr. Whitaker and Dr. Green were unanimous selections to acquire MHN’s most covenant annual award.
Official announcements of their honors will be made the final week of December.
For Dr. Whitaker, she will become the third woman since MHN’s December 2016 inception to be named both Woman of The Year and MHN International Women’s Day Woman of The Year, joining Virginia Beach, Virginia-based certified Grief Recovery Method Specialist Deborah Juniper-Frye and Mitchellville, Maryland-based businesswoman Dr. Jennifer Bryant to accomplish such feats.
Interestingly enough, Dr. Whitaker is the only individual to twice be named MHN International Women’s Day Woman of The Year, coming away with such honors in 2023 and 2024.
A Hanover, Maryland-based Internal Medicine Physician, Dr. Whitaker has garnered high praise of late amid the highly-anticipated release of Destiny Exposè: The Leading Ladies Volume 1, her second anthology to date, one that has created a national buzz across various message boards and social media platforms.
In addition, she had become a fixture during the 25th Anniversary Super Bowl Soulful Celebration early this year, a milestone that was spearheaded by fellow AKA member and Black Door Society President, Sharrarne Morton.
Like Dr. Whitaker, 2024 undoubtedly has been a banner year for Dr. Green, the founder and CEO of SHERO Enterprises, A progressive, thriving Raleigh, North Carolina-based company, SHERO Enterprises consist of SHERO Publishing, SHERO Consulting, and SHERO Gives.
To her credit, Dr. Green earned widespread recognition for the weekend release of IMPACT: Unleashing Your Inner Power & Narrative To Live On Purpose, her featured written work that took less than a month to compose.
Also, as a business executive whose tenure spans more than two decades, Dr. Green has been deemed an expert at helping women to convert their ideas into profitable businesses and brands.
