Much to his delight, Jay Vinson is steadily making his presence felt on the national stage as an accomplished author.
Talk about something to be especially thankful for ahead of Thanksgiving Day 2024.
That’s because just recently, this esteemed Georgia faith-leader-turned-Christian-based-writer was named a recipient of a Distinguished Authors Guild Awards during the organization’s 5th Annual Literary Awards Show and VIP Gala in Chicago.
An assembly that took place November 5 at Theatre 47 in nearby Park Forest, Illinois, the Distinguished Authors Guild’s Annual Literary Awards Show is designed to celebrate the best in literature, thus honor the notable achievements of outstanding authors.

In addition, the event featured a keynote speech, award presentations, and a reception with refreshments.
“It is an opportunity to meet and network with prominent authors, publishers, and literary enthusiasts,” said a spokesperson for Distinguished Authors Guild Awards.
To his credit, Vinson was honored for his valiant contributions to the authorship industry since making his professional writing debut in March 2020, most notably because of the fervent buzz surrounding his book, Moving Past Your Pain: Making The Journey Towards Your Destiny.

His latest written work that made its ceremonious release in Fall 2023, Vinson’s Moving Past Your Pain: Making The Journey Towards Your Destiny garnered high praise after the spiritually-empowering, 100-page book was endorsed by the renowned Bishop Dale C. Bronner, the internationally-acclaimed Senior Pastor of Word of Faith Family Worship Cathedral in Austell, Georgia.
“The category that I received the award for my book Moving Past Your Pain: Making the Journey Towards Your Destiny was ‘Motivation.’” Vinson told Making Headline News this week.
Interestingly enough, Vinson said he received an outpour of public support when word spread of his latest honor.
“It has been filled with excitement as a lot of people are very excited for me after receiving this award,” Vinson said. “Also, there have been individuals who are trying to get me to speak to their students in 2025. Overall, it has been a great experience. With my partnership that I have developed with Decatur High School’s (football program) in Decatur, Georgia, mentoring student athletes and students, and my experience as being a faith leader, I believe that played a part of me garnering this award. But more importantly, the vision that God has given me to write this book from a wholistic standpoint for believers and non-believers played a big part also.”
According to Vinson, he first got word “earlier this year” that he had been named a recipient for what is suitably known a DAG Awards.
“I would like to personally thank the visionary of Distinguished Authors Guild, Gina Gadsen and her team: Greg Gray and DopeLiven TV, Dr. Carolyn Stephens, and everyone who allowed me to grace their platform on their podcast to discuss my book and the things I have been doing in the community,” Vinson told MHN. “Finally, I want to shoutout my new family the authors of Distinguished Authors Guild and just let them know they all are winners and game changers whether if they won an award or not.”
GRACING THE NATIONAL STAGE
Named Making Headline News Man of The Year for 2023 and 2024, Vinson deemed it essential to pay homage to his most devoted supporters amid his latest honor.
