I have seen something else under the sun: The race is not to the swift or the battle to the strong, nor does food come to the wise or wealth to the brilliant or favor to the learned. But time and chance happen to them all. (Ecclesiastes 9:11/NIV)
REFLECTING ON GOD’S GOODNESS
Pamela Smith admittedly would “start and stop.”
All that matters at this point, really, is that she managed to complete the monumental to which God had commanded her.
“God gave me the vision to write many, many years ago,” Smith, a Mid-Soth faith-based writer, told Making Headline News this week. “About 13 (years) to be exact. I would start and stop. However, I’m still building the courage to write and publish my full book.”
So far, go good for Smith whom, much to her delight, has managed to make Reflections of Your Sacred Moments a full-fledge reality.

A riveting, spiritually-empowering written that made its ceremonious debut via Amazon.com on Friday, Smith’s Reflections of Your Sacred Moments is a spiritual journal that helps you build and process your daily walk with God, the Blytheville, Arkansas-based author told MHN.
“I was given that vision a few months ago when I was going through some very dark and trying moments,” Smith said. “All I had to vent to was God.”
In a nutshell, Smith’s Reflections of Your Sacred Moments is a 365-day spiritual journal, one designed to guide her readers on a transformative journey of faith, reflection, and growth, according to a detailed synopsis of this writer’s newly-produced book via Amazon.com.
“With daily scriptures, motivational quotes, and thought-provoking prompts, this journal invites you to embrace God’s presence in your everyday life,” said an Amazon spokesperson for Smith’s new book. “Whether you’re seeking to deepen your relationship with Christ, find peace in the midst of challenges, or cultivate gratitude and purpose, Sacred Moments provides the space and inspiration to connect with God and discover His plans for your life.”

An awe-inspiring book on which she began the legwork some 13 years ago, Smith had finally put the wraps on her first published masterpiece just days before Christmas.
“Journaling helped me when I needed it the most,” Smith said. “Being able to sit and just hear and talk to God helped to build my faith and hope. Only thing for sure is when you have no one else, God is always there.”
Now that she has made her much-anticipated authorship debut, Smith announced this week that her sophomore written work is currently in the works. The title: After This: Coping With Loss, Healing, Life and The Journey Ahead, a book that is scheduled to be released at “the first of the year,” she said.
As for the divine message she aspires to send to her reading audience through Reflections of Your Sacred Moments, Smith said:
“Whether you’re seeking to deepen your relationship with Christ, find peace in the midst of challenges, or cultivate gratitude and purpose, Reflections of Your Sacred Moments provides the space and inspiration to connect with God and discover His plans for your life.”
Additional books are on the horizon, Smith told MHN.
“Yes, I have a few other topics that God has given me,” she said. “After This: Coping With Loss will be released in a few weeks and I plan to write and full book that will tell about my life as it pertains to remaining faithful even when you feel like God has turned his back on you.”
WHAT’S ON DECK
Continued Smith:
“Your relationship with God is yours. Don’t allow people to dictate what that should look like. When you are having your sacred moments with the Father, those are experiences that only you and the Holy Spirit can attest to.
“Regardless of what you have done or been through, God loves you and your purpose on this earth is important enough for Him to give you grace and mercy,” Smith added. “I have fallen and failed God so many times but yet He still finds a way to remind me that He is in control and how much I need Him.
“During this season in my life, God put me in a place where no one else could help me out of my situation. He broke me down so badly and so low that I had nowhere else to turn to but to Him. This journal came from a place where I initially hated to be and that was in my head. I hated journaling because it took me too deep into places I didn’t want to revisit.
“I’ve been a part of a women’s ministry called GIRLS, which stands for Godly Inspirations In Real Life Situations and the founder, Chasity Anthony, is always big on journaling. She would give us journaling activities and I would be the last to finish because I hated it. So for God to sit me in a space where I had no choice and no other platform to vent but to write and talk to him was ironic. I’ve always had a close relationship with God, but the completion of this journal just made it closer. There were a lot of sacred moments between me and God during this time.”
