IN HER DIVINE ELEMENT
Carla V. Harris was just 13 years of age when God infused within her the awe-inspiring vision to delve into entrepreneurship.
For starters, Harris vividly recalls how she had envisioned becoming a bridal consultant after attending a relative’s wedding in Ohio.
It wasn’t long thereafter that she was afforded the golden opportunity to plan her first two weddings.
“It was the beginning of a long journey of success in wedding and event planning,” Harris told Making Headline News during a recent interview.

To her distinctly unique credit, Harris subsequently began to utilize her immeasurable talents and creativity to design special events, most notably on her job.
And the rest, as they say, is history.
Today, Harris is the face of SonDayChristianEvent Themes, her Florida-based website service for customers who are planning Christian-oriented events.

Generally, Harris’ venture has become a fixture for offering Bible-based themes to enhance parties and events.
Moreover, SonDayChristianEvent Themes consist of three divisions which include themes for special events, weddings as well as children’s parties, and events.
“Our mission is dedicated to helping customers make their event shine by glorifying God,” Harris told MHN, adding that her featured business endeavor customarily offers over 200 unique themes. “We will select themes we feel are suitable for your event according to the information you have submitted. Please know we only provide themes and ideas from our SonDay Event’s selection.”
In a nutshell, Harris’ mission through her rising business venture is centered in large part on helping customers “make their event shine by glorifying God,” she acknowledged.
SISTERLY LOVE
A native of Leesburg, Florida, Harris’ rise to sustained entrepreneurial success comes amid humble beginnings.
The youngest of sixteen children, Harris was the last of her siblings to leave home, ultimately returning to make sure her mother was well taken care of.
Even though she was employed, she was dedicated to ensuring her mother’s well-being.
Harris’ father passed away when she was the tender age of four.
Known largely for her humor and caring personality, Harris, by all accounts, has garnered high praise for her keen Biblical knowledge, intercession and wisdom, particularly as a “very spiritual and prophetic believer” of Christ.
JESUS THE LIGHT OF THE WORLD
A 1985 graduate of Leesburg (Florida) High School, Harris holds certifications in Child Development and Wedding Planning.
Interestingly enough, Harris has been employed at Little Blessings Preschool — a ministry-based institution of the North Lake Presbyterian Church in Lady Lake, Florida — since January of 2004. Prior to that, she was employed by Lake Montessori School, and H.O.P.E Inc.
In 1988, Harris committed her life to Christ, thus began a life-altering journey of serving the Lord with all her might.
MAKING DREAMS A REALITY
From all of her dreams and visions over the years, coupled with wise counsel from other trusted men and women of God, she understands that God has called her to rebuild her former business as an event planner, but in a different manner, she said.
“His instructions were to build a business that He would be glorified,” Harris said. “Now, 34 years later, those dreams and visions have come to fruition.”
Harris’ SonDayChristianEvent Themes officially went into operations on November 30, 2024, during a grand opening at Harbor Hills Country Club, in Lady Lake, Florida.
“I was supported by family, friends and clergy in an anointed and touching celebration and dedication,” Harris said. “I realize that God has a plan. During the midst of sorrows, afflictions, trials and struggles, God allowed me to birth this business and ministry. God has called me to be a light in this dark world.”
Indeed, He has.
Ever since she was 13 years of age.
