Such was the case in his fervent rise to emerge as a second-time published author.

“I was given the vision by God to write this book in September 2024,” Roberts recalls. “The vision to prepare the original version of Blessings In The Streets took place in June 2012. I wanted to build upon that first work to not only enhance the overall quality of content, but to also offer my readers additional stories of overcoming adversity while depending upon God for guidance and direction.”

“We were very close, and she made countless sacrifices over the years as a single parent to make sure all my needs were met,” Roberts said. “Much of who I am as a man today, I give credit to my mother as she instilled in me a sense of character and integrity to conduct myself in a manner that aligns with how God teaches us to be in His Word.”

As Roberts recalls, “the special edition version” of his new book was completed in approximately five months.
“However, the original version was a labor of love that spanned nearly a decade before completion,” Roberts told MHN. “It wasn’t that I experienced any writer’s block, just life circumstances that had me writing off and on over the years. It wasn’t until God allowed a storm to cross my path, mainly to get my attention, that I knew I had to get back on task and finish the work.”
Mission accomplished for the beloved Chicago native, whose published masterpiece will officially debut this week.
“The original book would be released as of January 28, 2022,” said Roberts, “and here am I now with the special edition version slated to be released three years later on January 28, 2025.”
Much to his delight, Roberts has fielded his share of favorable feedback since the production of his latest book.
“Since I wrote the original book, those who read it have been very generous in their approval of my transparency and openness in the sharing of my story,” Roberts said. “Quite frankly, it has been overwhelming at times considering that being an author was not something I thought I would ever engage in doing. Now with the special edition on the horizon, the excitement is even more elevated by those who are looking forward to being blessed yet again as God uses me as a vessel to share just how wonderful He is and why giving Him all the praise, honor, and glory is so well deserved.”
Roberts kicked off this authorship debut in 2022 with the release of Blessings In The Streets: When God Leverages Our Valley Experiences.
