DALLAS — Because of whom he is and because where God is taking him, Joseph B. Roberts’ entrepreneurial track record is such that he’s destined to empower people to become better versions of themselves.
Talk about walking in his divine purpose.
A native of Chicago, Roberts is the CEO of God Plus One LLC and host of the Blessings In The Streets podcast.
“My areas of expertise include (that of a) relationship strategist, author, speaker, certified instructor, moderator, ordained deacon, and single mom advocate,” Roberts told Making Headline News during a recent interview.
Generally, Roberts’ Dallas/Fort Worth-based God Plus One is centered in large part on addressing what he describes as “the three pillars” of Relationship Building, Leadership Development, and Mental Health Awareness.

“The strategic approaches I offer in each of those areas are all foundationally rooted in the application of godly principles in realizing ongoing success and sustainability,” Roberts told MHN. “My podcast focuses on sharing stories from people who have overcome adversity and other life challenges. My hope is that listeners will be inspired and encouraged to not give up during difficult times or setbacks of life but instead learn to persevere and believe that redemption and recovery is possible.”
Moreover, Roberts acknowledged, his podcast episodes are pre-recorded and aired at a later date via his YouTube channel, a rising platform where people can either choose to view or instead listen to on their respective podcast platform of choice.
Roberts’ featured business endeavor that customarily services individuals and groups ranging from 35-and-up, this devout man of faith said what he likes the most about his platform is that it greatly enables him to glorify God, thus affords him the golden opportunity to encouragement and offer immense support to others.

“I never imagined the day would come that I would be writing books, hosting a podcast, or speaking in front of audiences, yet as my relationship with God has grown,” Roberts said. “He has navigated me out of my comfort zones while revealing to me how to exercise the gifts He has placed within me.
“My personal mission is to inspire, encourage, and uplift, allowing God to use me as a vessel to proclaim His glory and the importance of entering a relationship with Him.”
Interestingly enough, Roberts said his competitive drive as an accomplished entrepreneur venture is what he suitably deems “less about competition and more about serving others as God would have me to do so.”
“In fact, I don’t even consider the works that I do as a business per se, but more so a ministry which aligns with God’s purpose for my life,” Roberts says without hesitation. “It has been through the Blessings In The Streets podcast that I have experienced the greatest reach of audiences across the nation. It has been an esteemed pleasure to meet people from all walks of life around the country who have appeared on my podcast, fully embracing the safe space platform extended to them to be vulnerable and transparent in the sharing of their stories of overcoming adversity while relying upon God.”
Having acquired a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Economics from University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire, Roberts holds a Master of Science Degree in Education and Social Policy from Northwestern University.
Roberts’ God Plus One officially went into existence in 2021. Consequently, The Blessings In The Streets podcast was launched in July 2023, a platform that is comprised of two seasons and 166 episodes to date.

“I am thankful to God for trusting me in this work and it is my desire and intention to serve at my fullest capabilities, even on those days when I am not at full strength mentally, emotionally, and/or physically. Even the encourager needs to be encouraged sometimes, but I have learned to lean on God for that much needed strength and courage to press forward and rise to the occasion.
“Lastly, I want to share the closing reminder I extend at the end of every podcast episode,” Roberts continued. “For me, it represents the ‘Why’ behind our storms and the need for us to receive them as opportunities for spiritual growth and development. A chance to become that much closer to God in relationship and to fully experience His unconditional love for us.
