DIVINE RESTORATION

Got a book that needs publishing?
Dr. Veronica Outlaw’s God Restores Publishing, by all accounts, has proven to be one of the finest of its kind.
Based in Starkville, Mississippi, Dr. Outlaw’s God Restores Publishing has become a fixture to empowering women to achieve their authorship goals and ambitions — one author at a time.
For Dr. Outlaw, her rise to sustained entrepreneur success comes on her emergence as an accomplished author, she admittedly doesn’t take lightly, she told Making Headline News as part of its 2025 Essence Music Festival national coverage for “the party with a purpose” event July 3-7 in New Orleans.

“Before I started the publishing company, I was a published author,” said Dr. Outlaw, who has composed six books to date. “The experiences I had with other publishing companies propelled me to offer services I wished I had as a new author. I have a desire to help people birth their visions, release their testimonies, and help other people – all while glorifying God.”
Dr. Outlaw started her book publishing company a little less than two years ago. To her credit, it has become a massive game-changer and for writers and aspiring authors, considering she has serviced approximately two dozen authors since her company’s inception.
“We strive to make a positive impact on others through God’s word,” said Dr. Outlaw, explaining the mission for her featured business endeavor. “We strive to help authors release in order to receive their breakthrough and healing. We strive to help authors leave a legacy through the works that will be born from their books. We strive to make a difference in the quality of the lives of the authors and their readers. Through writing, we can help represent underrepresented voices, help with promoting missions and causes, and help share pain to purpose experiences.”
A native of Chicago, Dr. Outlaw is a 1989 graduate of Crawford, Mississippi’s B.L. Moor High School. Consequently, she enrolled at Mississippi State University, where she earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Information Technology in 2005.
Dr. Outlaw would further her education at the graduate level when she acquired Master’s Degrees in Instructional Technology and Human Environmental Sciences from Mississippi State and the University of Alabama, respectively.

As for her minority-owned publishing company, Dr. Outlaw said she is appreciative of those who inspired her to diligently pursue her lofty entrepreneurial interests.
“I was mostly inspired to start a publishing company that offered affordable services that I wished I had when I was a new publisher,” Dr. Outlaw told MHN. “It is important (to esteemed others daily) because you never know who is watching and are in need of that extra boost to make it to their next step. God has been so faithful to me on my journey, so it is my mission to pay it forward.”
