Longtime Florida philanthropist Dr. Anissa King-Paul to be named Making Headline News’ International Women’s Day Woman of the Year for 2026

DALLAS — Twenty, twenty-six is starting to emerge as a banner year, of sorts, for Dr. Anissa King-Paul.
The longtime Florida businesswoman-turned-philanthropist learned she will be named Making Headline News’ International Women’s Day Woman of the Year for 2026, the Dallas/Fort Worth-based media outlet announced on Saturday.
Dr. King-Paul joins Hanover, Maryland internal medicine physician, Dr. Marcea Burnette Whitaker, MD (three-time winner), and Washington, DC mental health advocate, Dr. Rhonda M. Wood (two-time winner) as recipients for MHN’s highest global honor this year.
Originally referred to as International Working Women’s Day, this day is celebrated annually on March 8 and customarily commemorates the movement for women’s rights.
