To console those who mourn in Zion, To give them beauty for ashes; the oil of joy for mourning; the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they may be called trees of righteousness; the planting of the LORD, that He may be glorified. (Isaiah 61:3 KJV)
BEAUTY FOR ASHES
Because of who is she and because of where God is taking her, Danielle James had no choice but to pick up the broken pieces amid arguably the darkest season of her life, one that has fueled her fervent quest to press and navigate toward her destiny.
Out fairness to James, it was a rather tumultuous, tear-jerking occurrence that transpired some seven years ago, a development that, in all likelihood, will replay in her head for the rest of her life.
But God…
“My husband died in a car accident seven years ago and my life was turned upside down,” James told Making Headline News this week. “The man I spent my entire adult life with was gone in a blink of an eye.”
Still, James, a devout woman of faith who steadfastly turned to God for a divine sense of direction, was determined to make the best out of a hurtful, life-altering situation.
“So instead of sinking deeper into depression, the opportunity to join this amazing company was given to me by a high school classmate,” James recalled.
For James, a Mobile, Alabama-area businesswoman, it turned out to be the ideal endeavor that would greatly enable her to keep on, keepin’ on, let alone hit the figurative reset button on this thing called life.
Besides, that is what her husband would have wanted her to do.
A native of Mobile, James is an Executive Director for Paparazzi Accessories, an online, internationally acclaimed retail business that is geared largely toward selling classy and trendy accessories to women everywhere, all for the low cost of just $5.

Having joined Paparazzi Accessories on May 13, 2015, James — who has adopted the business name, “Chic Diva Jewelz” — describes this endeavor as the right opportunity, given the sustained success she’s enjoying.
“What I love most about my business is that it gives so many women confidence,” James said. “Their whole attitude changes when they put on this fabulous five-dollar jewelry.”
A business that services consumers of all ages and groups — “from the baby divas in training to the seasoned divas,” James jokingly acknowledged — James’ venture offers a wide range of jewelry and accessories designed to spice up women’s attire.
“We have a starlet shimmer line for little girls and that jewelry line is only one dollar,” James explained. “Then there’s our $5 jewelry line and, also for the First Ladies and deacons’ wives, we have our Zi collection, which are $25 sets.”
Much to her delight, James has been nothing short of amazing since affiliating with Paparazzi Accessories, a trend that has afforded her to reap success on an international scale.
A 1999 graduate of Mobile’s John L. Leflore High School, James has traveled as far as to Puerto Rico, during which she was allowed to put her immeasurable retail selling gifts on display.
HOLDIN’ IT DOWN
“(I went to Puerto Rico) to attend a destination wedding,” James said. “That’s a pretty big deal to me.”
Although the coronavirus pandemic has erupted, James is confident her business will continue to sustain favorable revenue, just as it has been since she joined this recession-proof company.
“I became an independent jewelry consultant with Paparazzi Accessories five years ago,” James, a graduate of the University of South Alabama, said. “It wasn’t a competitive drive in life that propelled me for this business venture, but the purpose behind it. It was never about the money when I started. I was more so of therapy.
“It is imperative that I inspire others daily because I know the feeling of loss, hopelessness, guilt and regret,” James continued. “I truly just want to inspire before I expire.”
Besides, that is what her husband would have wanted her to do.
