AK-AMAZING FRIENDS FOR LIFE
Dr. Marcea B. Whitaker and Sharrarne Morton’s first crossed paths last summer at the Inaugural Black Door Society Community Awards Luncheon.
To their credit, these beloved sorority sisters hit it off instantly, all the while building a solid friendship in the process.
For starters, Morton is the president and first founder of Black Door Society, a rising empowerment organization that is comprised of a few women of color in the boardroom and high-level positions, particularly those who are invited to exclusive events and decision-making tables.
“I am a member,” Dr. Marcea, during a weekend interview with Making Headline News, said, describing her relationship with Morton. “She opened the door for this opportunity to represent her and SiriusXM on the call. I have also been a guest co-host on her SiriusXM show. These open-door opportunities highlight the purpose and mission of Black Door Society of increased opportunities and building wealth and legacy.”

A little more than six months removed from having initially crossed paths with her esteemed soror, Dr. Whitaker’s divine connection with Morton has given way to yet another golden opportunity for the longtime Maryland philanthropist, who is a catalyst for the 25th Anniversary Super Bowl Soulful Celebration.
An event that will air on CBS February 10, the 25th Anniversary Super Bowl Soulful Celebration will be co-hosted by Cedric The Entertainer and Tichina Arnold and will be taped live February 7 at the Pearl Concert Theater at Palms Casino in Las Vegas at 8 p.m. PST.
“This is the only multicultural program and community event that joins together NFL players, top gospel and mainstream artists, and special guests all on one stage for an uplifting evening of joyful music, the exhilaration of football, hope, and fellowship,” Dr. Whitaker, a representative of Black Door Society, told MHN.
ALL-STAR LINEUP

According to Whitaker, the pre-event media call for the 25th Anniversary Super Bowl Soulful took place January 31, during which she represented Morton, who’s also the CEO of Morton Media and host of Skin Deep Radio on SiriusXM Radio, channel 141.
Serving as Morton’s co-host, Dr. Whitaker conducted a sit-down interview with Cedric The Entertainer, who expressed his excitement during the session.
“To get together, to go live, to have everyone on the stage, the vibration and the energy is what we need to show that football is about faith, as well as the game we see people play on Sunday,” Dr. Whitaker said of co-hosting a nationally-acclaimed event ahead of professional sports’ grandest annual event. “There are great individuals who we see wearing helmets but have no idea what they do to contribute to the world.”
Other dignitaries were also on hand for the pre-event media call, most notably executive producer Melanie Few, who said, “I am so very grateful to have made it to 25 (years).”
Said Franklin, a renowned songwriter, choir director, gospel singer: “I’m so glad to be back!”
Said Arnold: “This is a ministry, and we pray that it touches hearts.”
A star-studded assembly that figures to garner high praise from viewers, Dr. Whitaker doesn’t shy away from the notion that her affiliation with a Super Bowl-related event wouldn’t have emerged if not her the influential impact of Morton.
Suitably known as the Good Ole’ Black Girl Network,”™️ Morton’s Black Door Society is centered largely on four notable factors:
OPPORTUNITY
“We connect high-profile women of color to other high-profile women of color. Together, we open doors for ourselves and others to have access to higher opportunities that increase wealth and build legacy,” Morton said.
CONNECTIONS
“We share connections, information, and access to high net worth and high network opportunities.
We establish business connections for high-dollar contracts and high-level roles. We create opportunities and share our influence to build the wealth of our members,” Morton said.
WEALTH
“We unapologetically leverage favoritism by solely recommending, contracting, hiring, and financially supporting the businesses and wealth goals of our members and their families,” Morton said.
