HEART FOR PEOPLE
Alicia Middleton would be the first to admit she is forever grateful of the notion that she’s always had her disposal entrepreneurs who could appropriately help empower her to become a better version of herself.
“I’ve had business owners in my corner who I called my mentors, so they inspired me to find my passion then go for it,” Middleton, the CEO/Partner of We Are All One Home Healthcare, told Making Headline News during a recent interview. “Also, watching my aunt take care of my grandmother inspired me to even more because it showed me that great caretakers are out there to make our clients comfortable.”
Alongside side fellow co-owner, Shadonna Warren, Middleton oversees the day-to-day operations of a We Are All One Home Healthcare agency that allows individuals to regain their independence by staying in the comfort of their home which includes assistance with activities of daily living, most notably bathing, dressing, meal preparation, running errands, shopping, medication reminders, fall prevention, and light housekeeping, amongst other essential services.
A rising business venture that customarily services people who receive home care services are seniors, Middleton emphasized, among other things, her strategic mission is centered largely on caring for people, particularly those “who feel like that no one sees them because everyone matters,” she acknowledged.

“And everyone is still a person, no matter their status,” Middleton continued. “Also, watching my own grandmother being cared for by my aunt, I knew it is possible to keep an individual safe within the home. The No. 1 goal is to keep them in the comfort of their home so they can keep their independence and not have everything taken from them.”
Interestingly enough, Middleton’s We Are All One Home Healthcare has become committed to reassuring its clients that “they matter.”
Every single day.
“Because they are people like anyone else and no one has forgotten about them,” said Middleton, explaining what she likes most about her selected line of work. “So, bringing that light and a smile on their faces — giving them that reassurance — is what I like most in my business.”
A native of Silver Spring, Maryland, Middleton also is owner and CEO of Momma’s Glam Bag, co-owner of We Are One Transport, a certified nurse aide, and a BLS/CPR instructor for the American Heart Association.
A 2009 graduate of Chesapeake, Virginia’s Western Branch High School, Middleton holds an Associate Degree in Social Science from Tidewater Community College. Consequently, she studied at Riverside College of Health Careers, where she subsequently acquired her CNA.
As for becoming a catalyst for a flourishing non-medical home care agency, Middleton said:
“I knew that my passion for caring for others would outweigh anything else. Because most can open a business, but I feel you have to the passion to keep going especially when things get rough.

“I feel it is my duty to inspire others because why did God place us on the earth?” Middleton continued. “He did not place us here to hold anything in or hide. We all have a purpose, so we all need to figure out what that is and go for our dreams.
“I have always been that person to share information or bring others in because at the end of the day it is my legacy and my purpose to do so. I am going to continue God’s path as He guides me while shining my light and hope it inspire others to do the same.”
