DALLAS — The final quarter of any calendar year can be downright exhausting, stressful, and overwhelming for many individuals, most notably married couples.
No one, it seems, is aware of that more than Dimitri Le’Shan Kennedy.
“My competitive drive (through sports) didn’t propel me to start my business,” Kennedy, a former high-recruited track and field and basketball standout, told longtime journalist Andre Johnson during a recent interview. “It was my passion for romance and helping couples get through the rough seasons that propelled me to start my business.”
The business venture about which Kennedy is alluding is A Taste of Love: Romance Concierge which, as she explains rather vividly, is a romantic-oriented event planning and romance concierge company.
As Kennedy, 44, tells it, her intriguing, provocative business is geared in large part toward planning and implementing romantic experiences, most notably from “cozy and intimate affairs” to a large production, depending on her clients’ taste.
Oh my!
“We customize romantic packages to accommodate all budgets,” Kennedy said. “We seek to create, develop, and rekindle the love, intimacy, and romance in the relationship.”
Now that the Fall season is officially upon us, what better time for hard-working, occasionally-stressed and overwhelmingly fatigue couples to spark and revitalize their love life than by consulting Kennedy whom, given the immense strides she’s made since starting her business in August, has undoubtedly proven to be the go-to person, of sorts, particularly as it pertains to romance and ways to spice of one’s love life.
Oh my!
“I love seeing and hearing about the couples positive experiences and how following steps or a plan that I mapped out rekindled that spark or ignited the flame that was already lit,” said Kennedy, who has been aiding couples by way of this unique, unorthodox form of romance for the past decade or so.

Like most entrepreneurs, there is a mission about which Kennedy has adopted with regards to persuading consumers to buy into and embrace the business for which God has divinely purposed her to execute.
“My personal mission is to put passion, desire, intimacy, and communication back where it belongs in a loving relationship,” said Kennedy, adding that her newly-established ventures caters mostly to people ranging from ages 24-and-up.
This especially rings true amongst church folk, or those spiritual beings who sense that romance is not of God or has no place in the Body of Christ.
Of course it, as we are specifically reminded according to the Book of Songs of Solomon — and through Kennedy’s A Taste of Love: Romance Concierge.
“Everyone deserves to be loved and to show love through good and bad times,” Kennedy said. “Sometimes it’s the smallest things that can mean the world to a person. A kind gesture, an ‘I love you,’ a ‘You make my heart pound,’ a ‘When I look at you, I fall in love with you all over again.’”
How clever for an ex-track and field and hoops star who was heavily recruited to run track by a slew of major colleges, most notably the University of Houston, Rice University, the University of Virginia, Florida A&M, Prairie View A&M, LSU, University of Texas-Pan America, among others.
Having garnered a plethora awards and honors and stellar prep dual sport athlete, Kennedy, who runs her newly-erected business with the solid support of her husband, Roderick Kennedy, was recruited by two junior colleges to play basketball.
A native of Lufkin, Texas but was raised in nearby Livingston under the care of her grandmother in the Livingston Housing Authority with the help of the community, today, Kennedy is successfully carrying out her long-awaited passion of helping couples to…you know…score big in the bedroom.
Oh my!
