Dear friends, do not be surprised at the fiery ordeal that has come on you to test you, as though something strange were happening to you; But rejoice inasmuch as you participate in the sufferings of Christ, so that you may be overjoyed when his glory is revealed. (1 Peter 4:12-13 NIV)
WOMAN OF GRACE — During an exclusive interview this week with Making Headline News, Chicago-area radio personality Lisa Jackson explained in great detail that it wasnāt until after the deaths of her brother in 1999 and her mother the following year that she began to witness God strategically positioning her for a livelihood that would be center on ministry, ministry, and a lot of it.
In actuality, even when Prophetess Lisa Jackson sensed that strange things were transpiring in her life, they merely werenāt.
Believe it or, even when she sensed that things were falling apart, what she had ultimately discovered was that they were actually falling into place.
A native of Chicago, who was raised in what is widely known as the West side of the city in the historic Austin Community, Jacksonās childhood was mostly comprised of church, church, and a whole lot of it.
CHASING GREATNESS THROUGH FAITH — In actuality, even when Prophetess Lisa Jackson sensed that strange things were transpiring in her life, they merely werenāt. Believe it or, even when she sensed that things were falling apart, what she had ultimately discovered was that they were actually falling into place.
āBoth of my parents were raised in church,ā Jackson told Making Headline News this week. āThey taught me Christian values through the life they lived. I saw my parents demonstrate forgiveness when they wronged, my mom demonstrated compassion to others, and they loved unconditionally. Now I see those same values within myself.ā

And so it came to pass that in 2016, Jackson had taken a monumental leap of faith by not only establishing Lisa Jackson Ministries, but adding to her spiritual repertoire a popular radio show called, āFrom Pain 2 Purpose,ā which airs every Saturday at 3:30 p.m. CST on Chicagoās 1570 AM WGBX.
LISA’S GOING LIVE — And so it came to pass that in 2016, Jackson had taken a monumental leap of faith by not only establishing Lisa Jackson Ministries, but adding to her spiritual repertoire a popular radio show called, āFrom Pain 2 Purpose,ā which airs every Saturday at 3:30 p.m. CST on Harvey, Illinoisā 1570 AM WGBX.
A show that airs on a Gospel radio station that is deemed one of the Chicago areaās finest, āFrom Pain 2 Purposeā listeners routinely hear of powerful testimonies of individuals who once found themselves in bondage only to witness God set them free. In addition, listeners are afforded the chance to frequently tune in and listen to powerful teachings and prayer as well as call in and request prayer.
For Jackson, that she has been appropriately positioned for ministry by way of the radio waves has benefited her mightily in recent years, in large part because her role in media has allowed her to cross paths with an array of progressively prominent individuals in the Body of Christ.
For what itās worth, she knows full well a time such as now would not have come to fruition if not her steadfast commitment of exercising her faith in ways unimaginable.
āThere are several ministers on my mom and dad side of the family,ā said Jackson, whose father passed away in 2015. āI was raised in church.ā
And, although she had accepted Christ at an early age, she admittedly āknew of God,ā but ādidnāt know Him intimately.ā In other words, she doesnāt shy away from the notion that she didnāt have a personal relationship with her Creator.
FAMILY FOCUS, FAMILY FIRST — Lisa said she recalled how she once had to devise ways to survive and support her children through governmental assistance.
Nevertheless, that all changed after Jackson had diligently pressed and navigated her way through arguably some of the toughest times of her life.
For starters, she recalled how she once had to devise ways to survive and support her children through governmental assistance, food stamps and Medicaid to be technical.
She recalled how countless times, she was victimized by domestic violence only witness God rescue her from such a dark, chaotic season of her young life — a development that ultimately ended with her being found by a loving, supportive, God-fearing husband.
Today, unlike never before, Jackson often finds herself telling of her awe-inspiring tear-jerking testimonies, particularly the ones in which God had used her setbacks for major comebacks.
HIS QUEEN, HER KING — Jackson recalled how at one point in time, she was victimized by domestic violence only witness God rescue her from such a dark, chaotic season of her young life — a development that ultimately ended with her being found by a loving, God-fearing, supportive husband.
Simply because while keeping it real and being transparent, she made certain she paid homage to Him.
āI believe transparency helps people that are suffering silently,ā Jackson said. āIt lets them know that God delivered me and He can deliver them. He has no respecter of person. My life is an open book.ā
And because of her notable āopen bookā countenance, God has elevated and exalted her and, most importantly, prepared her a table in the presence of her enemies.
A show that airs on a black Gospel radio station that is deemed one of the Chicago areaās finest, āFrom Pain 2 Purposeā listeners routinely hear of powerful testimonies of individuals who once found themselves in bondage only to witness God set them free. A longtime ambassador in the Chicago community and surrounding areas, Jackson holds a Bachelor degree in Criminal Justice from Indiana University-Northwest and has been a police officer for the past 13 years. In addition, she is a credible mental health instructor and, after facing racism and gender discrimination for over a decade, God inspired her to return to school and obtain a Masterās degree in Social Work with a concentration in Mental Health.
Also, Jackson has started a nonprofit organization called, Healing Waters Ministries International,” an institution that will host her upcoming free and open to the public Pain to Purpose Conference on Friday September 22-23 at Chicago’s King College Prepatory School (registration is required at www.eventbrite.com).
All things considered, despite her assortment of unfavorable situations and circumstances that could have very well caused others to lose their mind, Jackson would be the first to tell you that God was there all the time.
āGod is the one that sustained me,ā Jackson said. āApart from God, I am nothing. I give God all the glory and all the praise.ā
Thatās because in actuality, even when she sensed that strange things were transpiring in her life, they merely werenāt.
They were actually falling into place.
