In case you don’t know her, LaTambria Patrece Smith would like to introduce herself.
A proud native of Dallas, Texas, Smith is an accomplished businesswoman as owner and chief executive officer of Tam’s Sweet Treats And More, a professionally operated Dallas/Fort Worth-based baking business in which Smith specializes in preparing a variety of delectable, mouth-watering desserts.
A business she established in 2014, Tam’s Sweet Treats And More — which is starting to attract a presence through the local media — is widely known for providing consumers with a variety of sweets, most notably cakes, teacakes, chocolate covered sweets and its famous cupcakes, just to name a few.
“All our products are prepared fresh and, in most cases, the day of delivery,” Smith, a Dallas Skyline High School alum, during an October 2017 interview with Making Headline News, said of her a business venture that has become a fixture throughout North Texas and the Southwest Region. “You haven’t had moist until you’ve tried Team’s sweets.”
Aside from managing the day-to-day operations of her business, Smith is widely known amongst her peers as a State Board Registered Dental Assistant. In addition, she is full-time student, whereby she is achieving Phlebotomist Certification, Pharmacy Technician, Compounding Technician, and Lab Technician Certification.
A longtime member of Dallas’ historic Friendship West Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Senior Pastor Dr. Frederick D. Haynes, III, Smith is the proud mother of two daughters: Amaiyah Ross, 10, and Mariah Ross, 9.
Amongst her notable achievements are having garnered her Texas State Board Dental Assistant Registration, all the while running an up-and-coming business and maintaining an “A” average as a full time student and mom.
Smith’s hobbies include, among other things, spending quality time with her children, watching the Dallas Mavericks and Dallas Cowboys as an avid fan, baking whether for business or pleasure, not to mention creating personalized gift baskets and full catering.
