Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God; And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. (Philippians 4:6-7 KJV)
THESE BERRIES LIT, MANE
DALLAS — Just after 8 a.m. CST on Saturday, one of Carla Thomas’ devoted customers took to social media, where she deemed it essential to give the owner of BERRY Fabulous Berries a well-deserved shout out.
“Carla Thomas is a real G.O.A.T. in the treat world…take care of mama,” Memphian Elise McNutt wrote in a Facebook post on Thomas’ timeline.
For Thomas, a rising Mid-South-area entrepreneur, the review McNutt staged to her social media page seemed to have been the general consensus amongst those who have paid witnessed to her mouthwatering, eye-catching treats.
BERRY Fabulous Berries in 2015 started out as a resourceful fundraiser, of sorts, during which Thomas had become inspired to generate money as a strategic way to help pay off senior dues for her son.
To her credit, Thomas’ endeavor has since emerged as a full fledged day-to-day operations — five years and counting.

“I actually prayed and asked God to give me something because the goal was to make sure my son’s senior year he had everything he wanted and how he wanted it,” Thomas told Making Headline News during a recent interview. “God gave me BERRY Fabulous Berries.”
Much to her delight, Thomas has taken her awe-inspiring vision and run with it. So much, in fact, that BERRY Fabulous Berries’ decorative and alcohol-infused treats have become a constant fixture, especially for holidays and a variety of special occasions.
Whatever you need, Thomas is destined to hook you up with her delectable, hand-crafted berries that have sent her social media followers into a sweet tooth frenzy, as evidenced by the post that appeared on her timeline Saturday morning.
“My sons inspired me (to start a business),” Thomas, a graduate of Memphis Frayser High, said. “I do this all for them and now their children. I want them to see me and be proud of all I do and know that they are my drive.”
For what it’s worth, Thomas often consulted her children for their assessment after preparing certain orders.
“I still send them pictures and say, ‘What do you think?’ or ‘How does this look?’” Thomas said. “I trust their opinions when it comes to my work.”
And, much to her delight, her devoted customers have become inclined to entrust her to help quench their occasional thirst, particularly when they find themselves craving BERRY Fabulous Berries.
“BERRY Fabulous Berries is grateful and honored to have so many people that love and supports this business,” said Thomas, who customarily uses her entrepreneurial platform as a strategic movement to empower other young ladies to become a better version of themselves.
A venture that has afforded her the golden opportunity to service customers outside of Memphis, Thomas is overwhelmingly grateful — and humble — the prayer she uttered during her son’s senior year five years ago has been answered in ways unimaginable.
“I pray for growth, as well as continued support along the way. To anyone who’s ever tasted anything I’ve ever dipped, I Thank You.”
BERRY much, to put it more precisely.
