EDITOR’S NOTE: This is the last of two in-depth feature stories in which Making Headline News is chronicling Author/Businesswoman Rebecca Gregory, who released her fourth book on June 1, 2020. Gregory also is the founder and CEO of RG Coach and Consulting.
R–GRRRRRRREAT THINGS ARE HAPPEN’
As soon as you log on to Rebecca Gregory’s business venture website, you will be met by this exuberant, affirmative catchphrase: “Failure can only occur when hope has been abandoned. If you have hope, you can have success.”
To her distinctly unique credit, Gregory can greatly attest to these pertinent notions, in large part because of the immeasurable strides she’s made as the proud founder and CEO of RG Coach and Consulting.
A rising endeavor that went into full operations in 2017, Gregory’s RG Coach and Consulting was birthed from what this longtime educator describes as a unique passion, of sorts, one that would, in turn, empower others to push past their limiting beliefs and fulfill their potential, according to a detailed synopsis of this venture at https://www.rgcoachandconsulting.org/about-us.
“We believe that you can be as great as you want to be,” said a spokesperson Gregory’s RG Coach and Consulting. “We aim to partner with you, to create a path of success and sustainability for you, your business, and your brand.”

Interestingly, Gregory acknowledged that RG is widely regarded as a professional and personal development firm, one that customarily specializes in women and youth development.
An endeavor that services women of all ages, as well as teens ranging in ages 15-to-18, Gregory is appreciative of the fact that her relatively new coaching and consulting firm aligns with God-manifested vision, one that is centered largely on enriching and impacting lives.
One life at a time.
“God has called me great since before I was born,” Gregory, 42, a native of Chicago, told Making Headline News this week. “It was the trials of life that drove me to be what was He already said I was. I’ve been the downtrodden, I’ve been the outcast, I’ve been poor, I’ve been heartbroken, I’ve been depressed, I’ve been discouraged and disappointed. My passion to see women overcome is what drives me in my business. The competition is within.”
A 1995 graduate of Forrest City High School — “the best to ever do it,” she said — Gregory is a Memphis-based businesswoman who acquired an undergraduate degree from Memphis’ historic HBCU that is LeMoyne-Owen College.
Consequently, she earned a Master of Science in Leadership from Grand Canyon University, and this beloved member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Incorporated is currently pursuing a Doctor of Education in Teaching and Learning with and emphasis in Adult Learning from GCU.

When asked what she loves the most about RG Coach and Consulting, Gregory said: “The most rewarding part of coaching is seeing others achieve their goals. It’s seeing the light come on in their eyes and their strength, purpose and vision being renewed. I love to hear others and be able to connect with them. I love to see God move on their behalf and watch them experience joy and triumph.”
An accomplished author of four books, Gregory business-related expertise has afforded her to put her solid empowerment gifts on display in a variety of establishments around the country, most notably Georgia, Maryland, California, Michigan, Texas, and North Carolina, among other places.
A venture that is three years removed from its inception, Gregory said her personal mission for coaching and consulting is to strategically provide women and teens with the tools necessary to be the absolute best version of themselves.
CHANGING A GENERATION
Having established strong ties to the Forrest City, Arkansas area, considering she was practically raised there, Gregory will be hosting what is known as a Teen Leadership Development beginning June 6. This three-week cohort, she said, is designed to provide teens with the fundamentals of leadership and more.
“I have had so many inspirations along the way,” Gregory said. “I will say this: It has been the support of my village that has brought me to this point of victory. I would not be where I am without their prayers, support, push and encouragement.”
