Well, whatever you do, whether you eat or drink, do it all for God’s glory. (1 Corinthians 10:31 GNT)
HE MAKES ALL THINGS NEW
Approximately one week ago on the morning of June 23, France Neptune took to her Facebook page, where she staged a rather captivating, enthralling post.
Said Neptune before her gallery of social media followers: “Don’t be afraid of being different. Be afraid of being the same as everyone else.”
For Neptune, there are, by all accounts, several reasons such a dauntless proclamation is one that will forever rest in her spirit.
For starters, consider how God has strategically set her aside for His use, particularly through the world of authorship.
To date, Neptune has composed two books, both of which are as good as advertised.
A little more than a year ago, Neptune made her authorship debut with the much-anticipated release of Girl, Be You!: 7 Strategies to Activate Your Authenticity.
A book that is comprised of 94 pages in length, Neptune’s Girl, Be You!: 7 Strategies to Activate Your Authenticity is an awe-inspiring, spiritually-empowering written work this Baltimore-area author produced amid an informative workshop she facilitated some time ago.

“After the workshop was held, God told me to use the material and write a book to help build up other women and teen girls in this area,” Neptune told Making Headline News this week. “The additional writing process took about two months. I wanted to expound on each strategy and add real life stories so others can relate and know they are not alone.”
Officially released in June 2019, Neptune’s Girl, Be You!: 7 Strategies to Activate Your Authenticity is widely regarded as this author’s flagship book, one that appropriately challenges, encourages, and equips you to fortify these notable spiritual attributes:
-
Define your unique, authentic self
-
Push beyond the pain of past hurts to experience true healing
-
Courageously pursue your passion and purpose and to,
-
Confidently walk in whom God created you to be.
In a nutshell, this writer wastes little time issuing this pertinent reminder: “Ladies, it’s time to stop living in someone else’s shadow. Be you! Activate your authenticity and chart a new path that looks forward and not backward. The best is yet to come.”
The founder of the Edify Your Sister(R) Movement, Neptune said the single, most underlying reason she chose to produce Girl, Be You!: 7 Strategies to Activate Your Authenticity is due in large to fervently inspire women and teen girls who have endured a dreaded battle with identity and low self-esteem issues.
“The purpose was to get to the root of this stronghold, pull it down, so we can walk in our authenticity,” Neptune explained. “Low self-esteem is paralyzing. If you don’t know your identity and who you are in Christ, you can’t be authentic. You’ll seek validation from and in others. It’s a never-ending cycle.”
But God…
“I thank the Lord for delivering me.” Neptune says without hesitation. “The divine message I’m sending to my audience through this book is that you were created on purpose, for His purpose.”
And then there is Neptune’s sophomore book entitled, Lost You Found Me: A Real Love Story of Redemption, a project that was released months after her initial one.
A book that needed 212 pages to complete, Neptune’s Lost You Found Me: A Real Love Story of Redemption depicts the lives of a character name Rachel, who sensed she and Dennis were the perfect couple.
“So handsome and fine, he was her first love, a dream come true, and the first boy to tell her she was beautiful,” according to an Amazon spokesperson for Neptune’s second book. “It wasn’t long before she was head over heels. When he told her that he couldn’t live without her, it felt like fate, but Rachel hadn’t counted on Dennis’s other side.
“Holding on to the hope that things would get better, Rachel stayed with him and rode the emotional roller coaster, determined to make their relationship work until the day came when she couldn’t take it another minute. Decisions were made that put a chain of events into motion that she never would’ve imagined she’d be capable of surviving.”
As Neptune recalls, the vision to assemble Lost You Found Me: A Real Love Story of Redemption arose approximately five years ago.
“I wrote down some thoughts on relationships, where I went wrong, why I decided on those relationships, and analyzed some of the situations myself and many other women and teen girls get ourselves into,” Neptune explained. “Again, God spoke to me and told me to turn it into a book. I questioned Him asking, ‘Are you sure?’ I prayed about it and, the more I delayed writing, the more uncomfortable I felt.
“Those feelings went away when I started to write and (things) would resurface when I lost focus. The writing process took about three years from the time I really got serious and consistent with my writing.”
By and large, what it all boils down to when seeking a healthy relationship is diligently using wisdom, discernment and, most importantly, seeking the Holy Spirit for a divine sense of direction. Neptune acknowledged.
“A majority of us in these situationships don’t know our worth so we settle for counterfeit love,” Neptune said. “We try to fill voids in our life and heart with a man, which can only be filled by God. Another issue is that many of us don’t know what healthy relationships look like. Healthy relationships begin with becoming a healthy person in your soul and spirit. The divine message I’m sending to my audience through this book is that you are good enough and worthy of love. God’s love should be your relationship blueprint.”
Overall, the feedback since the release of Neptune’s book has been overwhelmingly favorable, she said. Also, Neptune announced that plans are in works to write a sequel to Lost You Found Me: A Real Love Story of Redemption, as well as a couple of other inspirational books.
“The reviews have been amazing,” Neptune said. “The messages I receive from readers once again confirms God’s call to write this book. Although this book was written for women and teen girls, I received my first male review. In his words, ‘I couldn’t put the book down. This book also helped me as an adult male to see some things I can do better.’ Much to her delight, Neptune was overjoyed by the male’s reaction.
“Just wow!” she said. I was pleasantly surprised.”
Amongst the reasons is that she wasn’t afraid of being different. Rather, she was afraid of being the same as everyone else.
