We then that are strong ought to bear the infirmities of the weak, and not to please ourselves. (Romans 15:1 KJV)
JOY UNSPEAKABLE
As Carmela Bowens vividly recalls, it was a cold and lonely night in Chicago.
“And this was my fiery furnace to write out my pain,” Bowens, during an interview this week with Making Headline News, said, recalling the intriguing developments that led to her latest authorship project.
All things considered, Bowens was afforded the golden opportunity to release her pain in a globally-acclaimed book that figures to alters lives for years to come.
A native of Homestead, Florida, Bowens is one of 90 co-authors who has put her immeasurable writing gifts on the display in Finding Joy In the Journey: Healthy Ways To Navigate Grief 90 Day Devotional.
An awe-inspiring written work that’s spearheaded by visionary, longtime author and businesswoman Vernessa Blackwell, Finding Joy In the Journey: Healthy Ways To Navigate Grief 90 Day Devotional made its official release in August 2020.
In this highly sought-after book — which is comprised of 191 pages in length — these co-authors have assembled to collectively engage in real talk about love, loss, grief, and healing, among other pertinent topics.
Moreover, each author’s journey is unique, Blackwell emphasized, adding that “no two people’s journey to joy will be exactly alike, but we can all learn from each other.”

In essence, Blackwell’s Finding Joy In the Journey: Healthy Ways To Navigate Grief 90 Day Devotional figures to cause readers to laugh and cry or, “sometimes on the same page,” she told MHN during an August interview. “After reading this book, you will walk away feeling inspired to find joy in your journey and power through any obstacles you may encounter along the way.”
For Bowens, she admittedly wasted little time composing her chapter for a Finding Finding Joy In the Journey: Healthy Ways To Navigate Grief 90 Day Devotional that has quickly emerged as an international bestseller.
“The article was written and completed immediately after I found out about the project,” Bowens said. “(My desire is) to bring joy to the hopeless, comfort the grieving, and encourage those who are discouraged.”
As for the divine message she aims to send to her reading audience through Finding Joy In the Journey: Healthy Ways To Navigate Grief 90 Day Devotional, Bowens emphasized, among other things, there is such a thing as “good grief” which, as Christian-based author writes, is typically referred to as “Pain is PurposeFILLED, FIRE is a purifier, and YAWEH is Covenant Keeper.”
Blackwell’s Finding Joy In the Journey: Healthy Ways To Navigate Grief 90 Day Devotional is Bowens’ second book collaboration this year.
She also was a co-author for the book, PRAY: From The Desk of The Queen whereby she wrote from the subject, “Who Am I?”

Other books are forthcoming, one of which is currently in the works, Bowens announced.
“I’m assembling (a books) as we speak,” she said. “(I will write) 100 total…at least.”
As for her contributions to Finding Joy In the Journey: Healthy Ways To Navigate Grief 90 Day Devotional, Bowen is especially giddy about the golden opportunity she’s convinced Almighty God made possible.
“This book is (part of) my healing,” Bowens said. “What we did in this book is my evangelist, my commission, my gift that have been imputed in me for the greater work.”
To God be the glory.
