Let nothing be done through selfish ambition or conceit, but in lowliness of mind let each esteem others better than himself. (Philippians 2:3 NKJV)
DIVINE PUROSE
Latonlisa Bobo’s entrepreneurial track record is such that she strives to do things in excellence, all the while exemplifying solid customer service that will leave a lasting impression.
“I strive to inspire all those I come in contact with,” Bobo told Making Headline News this week. “My goal is to obtain a good rapport with everyone I come in contact with. You never know a person’s story until they speak on it. I want to encourage and motivate people to go after their dreams. We are a group of people with dignity and integrity.”
Suitably known as “Tammy Bobo,” this Mid-South-area businesswoman has made immeasurable strides as the owner and CEO of Divine Cleaning Service and Tammy’s Sweet Treats & Eats.
Based in Oxford, Mississippi, Bobo’s Divine Cleaning Service was birthed amid the influential impact of her grandmother, who cleaned for political figure, Alderman Dorothy Tilman, years ago.
“I would watch her as she cleaned the house,” Bobo, who turns 49 on October 21, recalls. “She would tell me, ‘Take pride in everything you do with your head held high.’”
Surely Bobo has gone to great lengths to follow in the immeasurable footsteps of her grandmother, considering her credible cleaning venture has enjoyed a considerable amount of success.
A business that went into full operations approximately a decade ago, Bobo has witnessed Divine Cleaning Service soar to immeasurable heights, given her featured endeavor has garnered success beyond the Mid-South.
“The best part about my services — which I think is unique — is that my company travels state-to-state to provide services as well as servicing Mississippi and surrounding areas as well,” Bobo said.
And, then there’s Tammy’s Sweet Treats & Eats, Bobo’s catering services that, much to her delight, has attracted what is shaping up to be a global presence.
Bobo’s catering venture has services clients in as far as Nigeria during which she provided food for the wedding of a former classmate.
“A middle school classmate of mine was getting married I catered her wedding,” Bobo said. “It was a mixture of food from the two different cultures.”
A graduate of Chicago’s DuSable High School, Bobo advanced her education at Northwest Mississippi Community College, where she earned an Associate Degree in Arts. Consequently, the Chicago native enrolled at Jackson State University, where she graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Management.
As for what she likes the most about her cleaning and catering businesses, Bobo emphasized, among other things, her enjoyment of crossing paths with people from various walks of life.
“(I love) meeting new people from different cultures and lifestyles,” she said.
To her credit, that she was destined to adopt an entrepreneurial mindset when she was child, by all accounts, has changed the overall landscape of her life.
“(I strive daily to) stay focus, be positive, smile, and be happy,” Bobo says without hesitation. “Take pride in what you do and do it with a smile and positive attitude. Always give back to the families you serviced and your community. “Every experience is an opportunity for you to go above and beyond measures. Your values and worth have no limits.”
Especially considering her entrepreneurial track record is such that she strives to do things in excellence, all the while exemplifying solid customer service that will leave a lasting impression.
