For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us. (Romans 8:18 NKJV)
THIRD TIME’S A CHARM
DALLAS — For LaKeisha Trimm-Green, it’s three in the books.
Literally.
Approximately three months after composing her sophomore project when she became of 15 authors to contribute to Washington DC area businesswoman-turned-author Takia Chase-Smith’s Pendulum Of A Mother’s Love, Trimm-Green has now exercised her faith by participating in a third collaboration published work.
A native of Franklin, Louisiana, Trimm-Green has become a fixture for the book, Living Life After Divorce, a spiritually-empowering written document that depicts an assortment of life-altering testimonies and developments amid this Christian-based author’s marital dissolution.

For Trimm-Green, she deemed it essential to pick up where she left off after reaping a considerable amount of success — and an assortment of rave reviews — in a year in which she made her much-anticipated authorship tenure has come full circle.
“I was working on another project for 2021 and I ask the publisher was there anything else in the works right now and she informed me of this collaboration,” Trimm-Green told Making Headline News this week. “She told me the topic was Living Life After Divorce and I said, ‘Yes, I am in.’”
And the rest, as they say, was history.
And just like, Trimm-Green was well on her way to adding a third book to what is seemingly shaping up to be a solid collection of intriguing reads for this Houston-area author.
Living Life After Divorce is currently still in the works and a timetable for its official release is pending, although readers can begin submitting presale orders.
“I felt it was perfect timing, because I had a story to tell about living life after a bad divorce,” Trimm-Green said. “I chose to take part in this (collaborative project) because I think my story about my divorce could help someone else that may be going through or went through the same things I did.”
Once she was informed about another authorship opportunity, Trimm-Green wasted little time making her compelling writing presence felt, having constructed her chapter for the book collaboration sometime in September.
As Trimm-Green recalls, she needed a few weeks to complete her valiant contributions to a Living Life After Divorce book that figures to be as good as advertised.
“The message I am trying to get to others is to love themselves and not lose themselves in others,” Trimm-Green said. “(I want divorcees to) know their self-worth so that they don’t let no one treat them any less than they deserve. (I want to them to) learn how to love and cherish themselves, their goals, and their lives, to know that they are a child of God and He is their Father, so (they are to) look to Him for their needs and not man.”
A book that has yet to be released, Trimm-Green has already become the beneficiary of favorable feedback.
“I have received good feedback from a podcast I did in November, because the book has not hit shelves just yet,” Trimm-Green said. “This book, just like the others, are parts of me that God wants me to release. It’s my healing through my words. My words are my way of healing my heart, and hopefully helping others.”
To her credit, since having recently made her authorship debut, Trimm-Green has been as good as advertised, considering in such a brief timeframe, she has already taken part in three book collaborations to date.
Besides her latest project and Pendulum Of A Mother’s Love, Trimm-Green is one of 90 co-authors whom earlier this year had collectively birthed longtime Washington DC author Vernessa Blackwell’s Finding Joy In the Journey: Healthy Ways to Navigate Grief 90 Day Devotional.
Other books are forthcoming in early 2021, Trimm-Green said.
“In doing these collaborations with the different books, this has helped me to heal myself from the things that were bothering me,” she said. “God puts you on a path that you never thought was for you so you can be an overcomer. I never thought that my words written would help me to heal in the way it has.
“Who would have thought that a young lady that’s always into things would become a two-time bestselling international author and have three collaborations in less than six months apart and two more on the way? God is so good. After these doors were opened for me, I just said I would follow God’s plans for my life and keep going. My children tell me every day how proud they are of me, because I am not letting what I’ve been through dictate my future.”
Three and counting.
