When God strategically introduced to Dr. Charmaine Powell the awe-inspiring vision in December 2019 to compose Diamonds In The Rough, the Gainesville, Florida-based author wasn’t sure how the Lord would use her according to His glory through such a notable assignment.
Today, unlike never before, Dr. Powell is witnessing a mighty move of God, in large part because her featured written works have transcended into a spiritually-empowering book series.

Dr. Powell’s Diamonds In The Rough: 3rd Edition comes approximately two years after the original Diamonds In The Rough and Diamonds In The Rough: 2nd Edition were released in March 2019 and August 2019, respectively.
When Diamonds In The Rough debuted, the 108-page anthology was comprised of three co-authors — including Dr. Powell — each of whom shared their true testimonials about trials, not to mention their rash of traumas and triumphs they have experienced in their lifetime, according to a detailed synopsis of this book at Amazon.com.

Interestingly, Dr. Powell’s Diamonds In The Rough: 3rd Edition figures to be just as captivating, given the favorable feedback this beloved Christian-based writer has garnered since word spread of her latest book.
“This book series is based on the production of a diamond,” Dr. Powell explains. “It is produced under great heat and pressure. It’s not attractive when it’s first discovered, but it undergoes a tedious process. During the process it is transformed into a gorgeous, flawless diamond that is fit to be put on display. We go through a similar process in our lives, on the way to our destiny. We, too, shine gloriously on display, after the darkness, the pain, and the pressure. All for the glory of God.”
Dr. Powell made her authorship debut in 2017 with the ceremonious release of Arise Daughters 30 Day Devotional Volume 1. Consequently, that was followed by Arise Daughters 30 Day Devotional Volume 2 in 2018, a year that also saw her compose and release From The Heart of The Author.
Then after Diamonds In The Rough first and second editions in 2019, Dr. Powell would produced two other books by year’s end: Diamonds of Inspirations and We Are Survivors: Visual Empowerment Journal (an anthology).

“I am also currently writing a book that is dear to me called, Eliminating Your Biggest Enemy,” Dr. Powell said of a book that is scheduled to debut sometime in either July or August. “It is based on a revelation that God dropped in my spirit one day: ‘When you get over yourself, then you have eliminated your biggest opponent.’ So, the book is talking about eliminating ourselves as the enemy so that we can walk in the victory that God has predestined us to walk in. We, most times, are our own biggest critic and biggest enemy thus holding us back from pursuing all that God has planned for us. But once we get out of our own way, there’s nothing we can’t do. It’s really going to be a great book.”

“Diamonds In The Rough has given me a stronger drive to empower, inspire, and encourage others,” Dr. Powell said. “I have always had a desire to push people to their purpose, to help them tap into their greatest potential and become who God says they are.
“Since starting this series, I have created a platform on social media called Diamonds In The Rough Empowerment Hour, where I interview men and women of God who are walking in their purpose and making a difference in other people’s lives. And it’s also a podcast,” Dr. Powell continued. “I just believe in shining the light on others when they are fulfilling God’s purpose for their lives. Many are overlooked and taken for granted. But Diamonds In the Rough is saying, ‘We see you and honor you.’”
