For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us. (Romans 8:18 KJV)
JOY UNSPEAKABLE
Notice, if you will, two intriguing lines in the bio section of Clevette Harris’ Amazon page, where her books can be purchased.
Those pair of sentences read something like this: Epilepsy knocked Clevette down, but it didn’t keep her out. As a fighter, it’s her heart’s desire to encourage and uplift others.
Indeed, it is, most notably by way of Harris’ remarkably compelling gifts as an accomplished author.
Having composed five books to date, Harris deemed it necessary to share of her life-altering experiences in Finding Joy In the Journey Vol 2: Healthy Ways To Find Joy During Difficult Times 90 Day Devotional, the highly-anticipated 12th anthology that is spearheaded by Blackwell, a longtime Washington, DC author and empowerment extraordinaire.

During a weekend interview with Making Headline News, Harris spoke at length about how she couldn’t fathom passing up the golden opportunity of joining a collaborative book project of one of America’s finest anthology visionaries.
“Vernessa Blackwell (was) inquiring about who wanted to be a bestselling author,” Harris recalls. “I thought it was the craziest question, but it would be even crazier if I didn’t reply.”
Once Harris responded to Blackwell’s plea to join her latest written work, the Richmond, Virginia native subsequently reaped the fruits of her labor, given Finding Joy In the Journey Vol 2: Healthy Ways To Find Joy During Difficult Times 90 Day Devotional has, in fact emerged as an Amazon bestseller, thus reinforcing the notion that this gifted writer is the resilient, big-hearted fighter for which she is widely known.
A book that is comprised of 190 pages in length, 90 co-authors have assembled to collectively birth Blackwell’s Finding Joy In the Journey Vol 2 Healthy Ways to Find Joy During Difficult Times 90 Day Devotional, whereby they strategically engage in real talk about finding joy during difficult times, most notably COVID-19, loss, love, grief, and healing, among other pertinent topics, Blackwell told MHN this week.
“She stated this project would help others as we’ve been in a pandemic,” said Harris, explaining the single, most underlying reason she joined Finding Joy In the Journey. “As she continued to explain (her vision), I knew it was for me as Epilepsy came into my life and (because) I knew about social distancing. She was on a quest for writers to help the troubled and my treasure chest was open.
“It’s amazing as one whose hand is touched by the Lord,” Harris continued. “The Gospel of Matthew 7 says, ‘Ask…and it shall be given.’ I am one who is truly grateful. The Lord moves my hand each day. I wrote (my chapter for the anthology) the next day.”
Harris made her ceremonious debut as an author in 2007 with the release of Through The Storm, a spiritually-empowering book that was followed by Harris’ After The Storm later that year.
Then in 2008, Harris witnessed the release of Blessed Assurance. After a three-year hiatus, Harris composed Brainstorm Is This The Beginning, which debuted in 2011.
Also this year, Harris witnessed the release of the audiobook entitled, The Single, Saved Struggle.
As for her valiant contributions to Finding Joy In the Journey Vol 2 Healthy Ways to Find Joy During Difficult Times 90 Day Devotional, Harris contends such a milestone is indicative of the grace, favor, and mercy God has bestowed upon her life.
“(My divine message is) that joy can be found,” Harris says without hesitation. “We face challenges in life. As the Potter God mold each of us individually, the reader (must realize that God) can change darkness into sunshine. (Therefore), you can relate to 90 days of heartwarming and passionate stories.”

As her health progresses, Harris is convinced that God subsequently will open for her more doors, thus allow her gifts to make room for her.
“(I’m) in (dire) need to be refreshed and released,” Harris said. “I’m hoping to complete (my book) ‘Down In My Soul’ in 2022. I do inspirational writings throughout the week (during which) I text to almost 300 people, which led me to start the page on Facebook (Steps Of Faith Ministries). In addition to my missionary works, I’m a Deaconess and intercessor.”
Not to mention a resilient and beloved fighter whose heart’s desire is centered largely on encouraging and uplifting others.
