KNOWLEDGE IS POWER
Dr. Carjie Scott’s The Education Equalizer Foundation has yet to reach its first full year of existence.
Still, this rising non-profit organization is steadily making immeasurable strides.
Established in November 2021, The Education Equalizer Foundation, to Dr. Scott’s credit, has become what many would deem the education sector’s game changer, largely because of the founder’s unparallel success in education over the past decade-and-a-half.
Generally, The Education Equalizer Foundation was formed to ensure that black, minority, and first-generation college students are given the knowledge and resources required for success in college and life, as mentioned in a detail breakdown of this organization at https://educationequalizers.org/.
Not only that, Dr. Scott’s featured endeavor is designed in large part to accomplish the following objectives:
- Equip education administrators with solutions to admit, retain, graduate, and place our scholars into careers and
- To serve underrepresented minorities entering college, education administrators, and related entities.
Said Dr. Scott during a recent interview with Making Headline News: “We offer Merit Scholarships to prospective students in need of funds to afford college, college and career preparedness workshops, and professional development to organizations interested in promoting college and careers to minority youth.”

So passionate about The Education Equalizer Foundation that Dr. Scott deemed it essential to compose a highly sought-after book entitled, You Are Accepted: How to Get Accepted Into College And Life.
An awe-inspiring, life-altering book that is comprised of 85 pages in length, Dr. Scott’s You Are Accepted: How to Get Accepted Into College And Life depicts the life of the woman who’s suitably known as The Education Equalizer™ whom, to her credit, miraculously defied the odds as a first-generation college student who rose to the top, as mentioned in a detailed synopsis of this Gainesville, Florida-based author’s book at Amazon.com.
“When faced with opposition as a woman of color in higher education, she spoke truth to power and held leaders accountable to their institution’s governing policies that silenced the powerless and enabled the powerful,” said an Amazon spokesperson for Dr. Scott’s You Are Accepted: How to Get Accepted Into College And Life.

“In the book,” Dr. Scott added, “I detail a decade-and-a-half of higher education experience. I have worked at trade schools, private schools, graduate schools, HBCUs, and community colleges. I couldn’t imagine changing anything about my career. I believe that I was born to do this. My education saved my life. As a first-generation high school and college graduate, it is my responsibility to lift as I climb and better the college experience for minority students like me.”
Since its inception, The Education Equalizer Foundation has become a fixture for catering to middle and high school students, particularly those interested in learning more about their college options, methods to afford college, and career opportunities upon graduation.
“We also work with education administrators, church leaders, fraternity and sorority groups, and non-profit organizations to create custom professional development programming and workshops for their students,” Dr. Scott told MHN.
As for her strategic mission for overseeing the day-to-day operations of one of the finest nonprofit organizations that is tied to the education arena, Dr. Scott acknowledged, “My college education saved my life. College not only prepares you for a job, but it also helps you gain self-confidence, improve your critical thinking skills, expands your network, and prepares you for the challenges of the real world. I want to give back to other students who come from where I come from. If it weren’t for mentors, guiding and molding me, I wouldn’t be the person I am today.”
