For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end. (Jeremiah 29:11 KJV)
DESTINY STEPS
As far as the above Biblical passage goes, Jay ‘4G’ Gathers couldn’t have made it plainer any better.
“Jeremiah 29:11 declares that He’s knows our expected end,” Gathers, a rising Atlanta gospel recording artist known as “4G” told Making Headline News during what has been appropriately dubbed its Annual NBA All-Star Weekend Special Report.
“After all, His plan is for us to prosper,” 4G added. “Society has this stigma about Christian rappers and would like to keep us in a particular box. For me, God has other plans because I can go into all arenas and shine bright for Him.”
For 4G, this progressive, thriving entertainer surely has found himself living and dwelling on the larger side of God in recent weeks.

Much to his delight, this month alone has been quite an eventful and memorable one for 4G, the face of GrandMaster Entertainment LLC.
“I have a few major events taking place,” 4G told MHN. “Prior to this weekend, I’ll be celebrating my birthday (February 1).”
As for other notable 4G events, the beloved gospel rapper on February 4 was as good as advertised when he performed during halftime of the College Park Skyhawks’ NBA G League game versus the Motor City Cruise.
“This event actually took place on my father’s birthday,” 4G said of College Park, which is an affiliate of the NBA’s Atlanta Hawks.
Then, on the following day, 4G hosted a private birthday bash that was accompanied by a compelling theme, one that was comprised of an All-White Affair. Also, February 3 was his daughter’s birthday and, on February 26, 4G will be celebrating the birthday of his son.
For what it’s worth, 2022 seems to be already shaping up to be a banner year for 4G whom, just recently, made his ceremonious authorship debut with Bounce Back, a book that came to fruition amid a memorable, in-depth conversation with Bishop James Kelly, his spiritual father for whom he has overwhelming respect.

“God has always spoken to me in dreams,” 4G said of his array of achievements in recent weeks. “In one particular dream, He showed me I’d be using my musical gift in the same arenas as other mainstream artists. The significance of the event taking place on February 4 is the team owner for the arena.”
Interestingly enough, 4G announced he was afforded the golden opportunity to perform in an establishment that is owned by hip hop legend “2Chainz.”
“It’s just another manifestation of things God has promised me over the years,” 4G said. “But to do it on my father’s birthday makes it even more special. After recently relocating to Atlanta, Georgia, the purpose for (these events) is to continue to build my brand. In addition, my goal is to continue to build lasting relationships for the years to come with the Skyhawks organization. There has been plenty of excitement surrounding the upcoming events. That, coupled with the upcoming release of my book and movie projects (also entitled Bounce Back) have also created the same excitement. These endeavors are just another testament that God is indeed faithful.”
